As a Healthcare Solutions Executive, you take pride in representing Baxter and our products. Being an HSE has you be responsible for growing adoption of the Baxter Infusion Systems portfolio within acute care hospitals. You primarily call on, develop and maintain relationships with the C-suite and other decision makers to generate demand for Baxter’s infusion technology. This role will lead critical components of the sales process from account discovery to facilitating appropriate transition to post sales implementation process. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a successful history of conveying complex clinical and technical information to a variety of individuals and roles within large organizations. Given the sophisticated and cross-functional buying process this individual must be able to gain executive sponsorship and substantial engagement with senior level decision makers from IT, Informatics, Nursing and Pharmacy. What you'll be doing:

  • Identifying, qualifying, leading and executing new sales opportunities at the top Health Systems in your assigned region, primarily with non-Baxter hospitals and mid cycle existing Baxter customers, and developing plans for introducing new solutions through collaborative relationships with senior leaders and key decision makers by sharing the defined value of partnering with Baxter
  • Navigating through the complex and cross-functional buying process by understanding customers current state and crafting future state business proposition (Clinical, Technical and Financial) to meet customer’s strategic objectives and roadmap
  • Generating demand, building brand and influencing purchasing criteria by building value prop and achieving consensus through key partners in the decision-making process
  • Serving as a leader in all areas of the sales cycle including account discovery, pipeline development, and driving new business; ensuring consistent and sustainable results and working collaboratively with all internal team member
  • Managing all aspects of the deal strategy including competitive positioning strategy, pricing strategy, presentation strategy and knowing when to bring in the right resources to close the deal
  • Enabling the Infusion System business to act upon market specific customer insights and competitor strategies as inputs into the product/solution roadmap to enable the business to extract financial value and brand preference with different customer segments
  • Achieving the annual sales and pre-tax profit expectations

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred with expertise in medical device/capital sales, with infusion therapy/medication management expertise preferred, and/or medical device interoperability
  • Demonstrated understanding of complex capital sales process, medical devices / software and consultative selling to the C-Suite Experience in negotiating contracts and generating contract pull-through with GPO’s and IDN’s at the system level
  • Leadership experience launching new products/contracts in U.S. market in the last 5 years
  • High business and financial competence and high abilities using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable executing through ambiguity, delivering results and driving strategic plans
  • Cross-functional experience in other commercial roles, such as Sales, Marketing, Managed Markets, Sales Training, Global Marketing and Commercial Excellence required
  • Ability to promote Baxter Culture through positive ongoing customer relations and compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • At least 50% travel is required

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $128,000 to $252,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.
