SUMMARY

Responsible for the business result of the assigned accounts and sales area, the Key Account Specialist builds relationships with key decision makers in Hospital Units. He / she develops and maintains productive relationships with key administrative and key decisional stakeholders to facilitate decisional processes in the Clinical Nutrition/Anesthesia business. He / she contributes to harmonize and target sales efforts of company across the Hospital Business to maximize all market opportunities and collaborates in tender preparation with buying organizations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Make field visits, product presentations, seminars, workshops and establish strong relationships with key decision makers and committees within the sales area and buying organizations

  • Organize presence and coordinate participation in congresses and other educational events, courses and seminars and participate in Third party organized events

  • Maintain, develop, and consolidate relationships with all essential functions within the National Healthcare System at sales area level and at Hospital level (where applicable)

  • Develop and implement a sales business plan and key customer satisfaction goals for the assigned accounts and / or sales area

  • Responsible for the business results of the assigned accounts and / or sales area

  • Closely work with supervisor while monitoring regional / local key policies that may affect Hospital business in designated sales area

  • Maintain a watching brief on developments within the sales area in co-operation with Marketing and Wholesaler Partners

  • Analyze account attractiveness and develop the account plan including sales, market share and required resources in co-operation with Marketing

  • CRM system management – updating, planning and reporting of field activities

  • Proactively follow up tenders for Hospital and provides necessary support and documentation to wholesaler partners enabling them for successful participation in bids

  • Participate in and initiate localization procedures for marketing and educational materials

  • Closely monitor and report competitive activities at sales area level

  • Manage expense budget

  • Develop and manage new services for key customers and sales area

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree preferred (Bioscience, Medical, Pharma)

  • Strong experience in Paharmaceutical and Medical Devices businesses – min 2 years needed in promoting clinical use products in Hospital, National Accounts etc (not primary care)

  • Be familiar with bid procedures and requirements

  • Preferred experience in selling/promoting clinical therapies or products dedicated for ICU departments (ATI), surgery ward, gastrointestinal area

  • Advantage to have knowledge in clinical nutrition or medication delivery or anesthesia products
