As part of a wider Research and Development team, you will be the R&D representative in the Thetford Manufacturing plant; An SME onsite, on of your main tasks will be to lead, manage and implement design development and validation activities of intravenous and irrigation container systems or individual components leading the design projects and ensuring the follow-up of projects within the defined project boundaries. You will also be accountable for the technical execution of design activities for the plant/quality initiatives.

What you'll be doing

  • Define, in collaboration with related department heads, the plans and strategies pertaining to implementation of projects, in order to meet project timeline.

  • Provide in depth technical expertise on products design and usage, including material selections both in the market and emerging regions.

  • Effectively support plant and R&D team members in the creation and implementation of sustaining engineering and new product development.

  • Provide technical leadership in the areas of release of new products/line extensions, product improvements, value improvements, changes in regulatory requirements, supplier-initiated changes, and complaint investigations.

  • Provide with response to enquiries from internal colleagues & from external requests.

  • Support the plant in analysing complaints, prioritisation of preventive and corrective actions, and field investigations.

  • Run Trackwise Change control/tasks for the R&D activities at plant level.

  • Accountable for the technical execution of design activities for the plant/quality initiatives.

  • Ensure that product design and risk is considered as needed in all key plant programs (MIPs, product initiatives, process changes)

What you'll bring

  • Knowledge of product design and related therapy requirements

  • Ability to organise Collaboration, including mentoring for and supporting Change Owners and Study Directors

  • Interest in analysis of complaints & resolution proposals (CAPA: Corrective And Preventive Action) using DMAIC approach

  • Knowledge of risk management process

  • High quality protocol & report writing competency

  • Ability to generate & formalise operating procedures
