SUMMARY

Responsible for the business result of the assigned accounts, the Key Account Specialist builds relationships with key decision makers in Clinical Nutrition Unit. Candidate should develop and maintain productive relationships with key administrative and key decision-making stakeholders to influence decision-making processes to facilitate the Clinical Nutrition business. Candidate contributes to harmonize and target sales efforts across the Hospital Business to maximize all market opportunities and negotiates contracts with buying organizations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieving the sales targets in the assigned territory, delivering market share growth.

  • Spend 80% of the working time in field activities with total visits 35 per week

  • Generate leads; handle all customer queries including full accountability on the entire sales cycle from generating demand, quotation preparation, securing the purchase order till securing the proof of delivery from the hospital

  • Accountable for the timely and accurate forecasting of sales orders and marketing activities.

  • Conduct a minimum of 2 Indoor or outdoor interaction sessions per month

  • Acquire new customers within the assigned territory and establish strong relationships with key decision makers and committees within the sales area and buying organizations for the Hospital

  • Bring in market intelligence and customer knowledge

  • Analyze account attractiveness and develop the account plan including sales, market share and required resources.

  • Negotiate and prepare bids and tenders for the hospital (assigned Key Accounts and /or sales area)

  • Closely monitor and report competitive activities at the sales area level

  • Active participation in business-related team projects

  • Flexibility to attend certain events and activities throughout the year, during weekends and after working hours, based on the business need

  • Willing to travel locally and internationally up to 40% of the time within Madina, Tabouk, Yanbu and Neom.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong introduction with key administrative and political stakeholders within Hospital Care

  • Lobbying and negotiation skills – ability to council and influence

  • Communication and facilitation skills

  • Process orientation

  • Financial analysis skills

  • Pricing experience

  • Selling skills

  • Coordinating an account team

  • Understanding how the business works

  • Ability to plan and identify key result areas

  • Orchestrate supplier-customer relationships including managing buying group organizations

  • Work with a multidisciplinary team

  • Comply with regulations and standards and protect Baxter’s public reputation

  • Medical background only

  • Fresh Graduate or 1-3 years Significant experience within the medical or pharmaceutical field

  • Fluent English and Arabic
