Summary of the function
- Act as Nutrition Container PDO for the glass bottles products
- Under minimal management supervision, have a role of technical lead in multifunctional projects to meet the GBU targets.
- Manage without supervision sub-projects related to container as part of multifunctional projects team effort.
- Manage a local team in Malta
Essential duties & responsabilities
- With minimal guidance, schedules and leads a team through the planning and execution of a smaller project or defined piece of a larger project. This includes constructing detailed, accurate project schedules, interfacing with development groups and technical support groups
- Plans, schedules and leads project assignments in the evaluation, selection and adaptation of various engineering techniques, procedures and criteria with minimal guidance.
- With minimal guidance, execute engineering assignments in drug container design including developing engineering requirements and conducting design, verification / validation activities and undertaking risk management activities as dFMEA.
- Design engineering studies and interpret results. Compile reports and analysis in written and graphic form. Effectively present that information to pertinent organization staff members.
- Displays standard engineering principles to resolve difficult problems, from conception to final design with team input. Perform root cause investigations related to design issues.
- Devises new approaches to complex problems through adaptations and modifications of standard technical principles
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Manage activities related to the role of Container Product Design Owner (PDO) in a timely manner
- Manage a small team of engineers and help them to develop.
Qualifications:
- Display a solid understanding of theories/practices utilized by other disciplines outside primary area of expertise
- Ability to convince management on courses of action with minimal assistance using both written and verbal methods
- Effectively operate in and facilitate cross-functional teams with guidance
- Must be able to provide solutions that reflect understanding business objectives and cost implications
- Team manager able to manage a team fairly and ethically, develop the team and deal with conflict if necessary.
