Role Summary:

  • Responsible for the strategic direction of HR and provide business partnering support to the business. Key accountabilities include providing leadership to Malaysia Shared Services HR functions, including Organizational Design & Development, Performance Management, Talent Management & Succession, Compliance & Integrity and Employee/Industrial Relations, and supporting Total Rewards and Talent Acquisition CoE.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Business Partnering

  • Works closely with Management Team to establish theHR /talent strategy andactionplans,insupportofthebusiness.
  • Act as contact point foremployees inrelationtoall HR matters, related topolicy, procedures, processes,career,performance/developmentandbenefitsprograms.

WorkforcePlanning&TalentAcquisition

  • Partnerleaders forworkforceplanning,analysis ofmanpowerstatistics andstaffmovement/turnoverrateetc.
  • DriveinsightfromHRdataandprovidemonthlyHRscorecard/ dashboard.
  • Support TA CoE todriverecruitingeffectivenesstoensurethequalityof hiringinlinewiththebusinessgrowthandorganizationneeds.

Talent&PerformanceManagement

  • Supporttalentstrategyandfacilitateindividual developmentplanofemployees.
  • Guide leaders on performance management, coaching, performance & development improvementprocesses, and ensure that reviews and feedback are carried out in an effective and timely manner throughACEprocess.
  • Facilitatetalentreviewandplanningprocess (TRP), developaction planforahealthiersuccessionpipeline.
  • Identifyorganization andtalentcapabilitygaps, identifylearninganddevelopmentneeds.
  • Recommend &implement various talent attraction, retention & engagement programs to assistthecompanytoattainemployerofchoicestatus.

ChangeManagement&OrganizationalDevelopment

  • Advice,supportandguidancetoleadersoneffectivehumanresourcemanagementpracticesandcounselling.
  • Providecoachingtobusiness leaders andassociatesaspartofdevelopment.
  • Facilitateorganizationtransformation initiatives,recommend andimplement appropriate organizationaldevelopment&changemanagementmeasures.

EmployeeRelations&Engagement

  • Organizeregularemployee communication,feedback,skiplevel andfocusgroup meeting.
  • Workwithglobal/regionalHR torolloutAnnualEngagementSurvey(BestPlacetoWork)initiatives.
  • Analyzeemployeesurveyreports,facilitateandassistleaderstocommunicateresultsandrolloutactionplanstobridgethegap.
  • Effectivedriveemployeeengagementprograms tofosteranengagingandinclusiveculture.
  • Effectivemanagementoflaborrelationsanddealwithvariouslegallitigation mattersasnecessary.

Compensation&BenefitsManagement

  • Overseealllocalpolicy,compensationandbenefitprograms.
  • Closelyworkwith Total RewardsCoEtoAnalyze,design&implementcompensation&benefitprogramstoensurethetotalrewardsystemremainscompetitiveinthelocalmarket.
  • FacilitationofAnnualCompensationReviewprocessincludingsalaryincreaseandbonusallocation.
  • ManagevendorsandinterfacewithPayrollvendormonthly payroll,claims,taxreporting.

HRPolicy&ProceduresandOperations

  • PeriodicallyreviewemployeehandbooktoensurethattheHR policy&procedures areuptodate.
  • Facilitateemployeelifecycleactivities:such asonboarding andoffboarding.
  • Local championforWorkday(EmployeeDatabaseSystem).

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • At least 8 years HR experience within an international business environment, experienced HR generalist and solid experience in HR related functions, especially in Employee Relations, Organization Development & Talent Management.
  • An undergraduate degree in HR management, business, or a related discipline; Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge in Malaysia Labor Law.
  • A demonstrated ability to successfully build business relationships with members of the operations and functional business support leadership teams, in order to effectively work towards achieving departmental objectives.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and graphics communication capabilities.
  • A demonstrated ability to manage by influencing others within the organization.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented and meticulous.
  • Proactive, self-driven, good analytical and outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Both oral and written English skills must be good, and be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
