Your role at Baxter

This role will be responsible for supporting Americas payments operations, monitoring payments controls and metrics, ensuring compliance of procedures, support in Accounts Payable Projects and provide support to the supervisor when required.

What you'll be doing

  • We perform accurate and timely payments for Americas and perform daily monitoring in Payments Controls and Metrics.

  • We provide good service to internal and external customers. Work with the corresponding parties to resolve.

  • We align with the efficiency parameters established by the supervisor.

  • Understand the 0101 policy of the Corporate Policies and Procedures Manual, along with the Accounts payable PO, Non-PO.

  • We attend meetings with customers, suppliers and Baxter personnel at all levels of the organization.

  • We ensure all services provided align with SLA’s, S-Ox, and Corporate Policies.

  • We drive improvement initiatives for implemented processes. Prepare any reporting require by the management.

  • We ensure the understanding of audit processes held by the country entities and the implications of those.

  • We provide in a timely manner any support documentation requested by any audited process. Also, ensure accurate training/update on payments processes or any other regulatory/statutory requirement applicable to the process.

  • We ensure the information related to payments processes is updated in the SOP and review in bi-annual basis the SOPs.

  • We advise to the supervisor any urgent issue that might impact the operation.

  • We ensure to follow the right scalation process within the GBS and the Local Country.

  • We have sense of urgency and inform in a timely manner to the supervisor of any potential issue that might impact the operation.

  • We can perform other duties and responsibilities the need arises required by the manager.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Public Accounting.

  • Minimum of 3 years of the Accounts Payable accounting processes and understanding of internal control elements.

  • Experience in accounting and financial systems (JDE, Kyriba)

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.

  • Intermediate knowledge in Excel.

  • English B2 or higher

  • Portuguese desired

  • Ability to work well with all levels of leadership, prioritize multiple tasks with a sense of urgency and attention to detail; ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues

  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize large volumes of work within given timeframes

  • Flexible with work schedule required for department needs

  • Ability to have strong ownership through initiative, creativity, follow through, accountability, and dedication.
