We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Scientist II to join our Clinical Nutrition organization as a Technical Lead, in our site on Braine L'Alleud. In this role, you will support large sustaining supply and compliance projects/programs, applying your in-depth understanding of multiple subject areas and businesses to find innovative solutions to technical challenges.

What you'll do :

You, as the ideal candidate for the Research Scientist II role, will have a strategic understanding of the factors critical to project success, including technology and cost considerations, regulatory and compliance requirements. You will be able to independently generate innovative solutions to complex problems through the use of multiple fields and technical principles.

In addition to planning, executing, and managing projects that span multiple fields, you will incorporate knowledge of product use and design to predict product effectiveness and anticipate product failures. You will analyze driven designs and modify them to increase product/process acceptance, quality, and reliability.

You will be sought out by other teams and individuals to offer technical advice, and may act as a coach, mentor, supervisor, and technical advisor to junior members within the subject area.

You will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of GxP and related regulations, and will be able to provide expert insights into such regulations to facilitate efficient product submission/registration. You will maintain current knowledge of relevant Quality System regulations and other regulatory requirements to ensure compliance in all activities.

What you'll bring :

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (Pharmaceutics, Pharmacy, Chemistry or related field) with at least 15 years of relevant experience, MS with at least 10 years, or PhD with at least 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Must possess strong knowledge of scientific subject areas and solid knowledge of related fields, plus knowledge of quality and general business systems.
  • Must possess strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals products and lifecycle management.
  • Must be able to challenge the status quo.
  • Can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty.
  • Must demonstrate effective leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cross-functinal teams simultaneously
  • Display ability to communicate effectively using a wide variety of skills and vehicles and to various audiences including senior management
