Job Summary

We are seeking a Principal Automation Engineer with 12+yrs of experience in defining the automation architecture, technical roadmap, and engineering standards for API, UI, integration, and end-to-end testing. This role will lead development of scalable C# frameworks, establish CI/CD quality gates, guide cross-team adoption, and resolve complex automation and testability challenges across distributed products.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own the enterprise-grade automation architecture and roadmap for C#-based REST API, UI, integration, and workflow testing.
  • Design modular frameworks with reusable libraries for configuration, service clients, page or component objects, test data, parallel execution, retries, logging, reporting, and environment management.
  • Define coding standards, branching and review practices, framework governance, versioning, documentation, and contribution models.
  • Establish pipeline strategy for pull-request validation, daily smoke tests, staged regression, release qualification, and automated quality gates.
  • Guide teams on automation suitability, testability, coverage modelling, risk-based selection, and reduction of flaky or low-value tests.
  • Lead technical reviews, proofs of concept, framework migrations, tool evaluations, and resolution of complex cross-service failures.
  • Define dashboards and metrics for coverage, reliability, execution time, defect containment, failure causes, and productivity gains.
  • Partner with architecture, software, DevOps, cybersecurity, systems, and verification leaders to embed quality throughout delivery.
  • Mentor automation engineers and build engineering capability through reusable assets, coaching, and technical communities of practice.

What you’ll bring

  • B.E/B. Tech in Computer Science / Electronics & Communication / Electrical or related field  
  • Advanced C# and .NET engineering skills with strong knowledge of software design principles, dependency injection, concurrency, asynchronous execution, and extensible architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting and developing REST API and UI automation frameworks at scale.
  • Strong knowledge of Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, NUnit, xUnit, MSTest, or comparable technologies.
  • Expertise in API contracts, distributed systems, microservices, event-driven integrations, databases, authentication, authorization, and service virtualization.
  • Deep experience with Git, CI/CD architecture, parallel execution, containerized test environments, automated reporting, and quality gates.
  • Proven ability to improve framework reliability, diagnose flaky tests, optimize execution, and drive adoption across multiple teams.
  • Strong technical leadership, stakeholder communication, mentoring, and architecture decision-making skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, message brokers, observability platforms, and cloud-native test environments.
  • Experience validating healthcare platforms, HL7/FHIR integrations, connected devices, or regulated software products.
  • Knowledge of security, accessibility, performance, reliability, and resilience testing within a unified automation strategy.
  • Relevant Microsoft, cloud, architecture, or testing certification is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of SIP infrastructure and media components such as Kamailio, FreeSWITCH, RTPEngine, SBCs, registrars, RTP, and WebRTC.
  • Experience with Azure Key Vault, Azure App Configuration, Azure Cache for Redis, Azure Web PubSub, Terraform, KEDA, and container security tooling.
  • Familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, risk management, cybersecurity expectations, and quality systems for regulated healthcare software.
  • Experience with Jira, Jama, validated toolchains, Agile/Scrum delivery, and formal release-readiness reviews.
  • Experience in leading team of automation testers for common goal.
