R&D Specialist

Job Description

Baxter Healthcare is in search of an R&D Specialist who has excitement and energy for operations management and a passion for their work and the impact it has on saving and sustaining the lives of patients.

This successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing ITT, Bangalore site R&D Capex, Opex & project purchases.

  • Maintaining the R&D budget and tracking expenses.
  • Oversee reporting, planning, and auditing activities.
  • Work closely with logistics, finance and administrative teams for various activities with respect to finance and import/exports.  
  • Assure material and equipment are properly stored and maintained until installed at the work sites.
  • In partnership with procurement, support the vendor development process and creating disclosure agreements.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to understand project needs & raise PO, track shipments & payment to vendors on time.
  • Work with senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.

 Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and highly result driven individual with a proven track record of effectiveness in a fast-paced and team environment.  Additionally, the candidate will possess the following:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering or Graduate in Finance/Commerce with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years at a responsible at senior level for material procurement, logistics and budget management.
  • Experience working in large-scale R&D organizations in handling R&D development procurement activities & budgets.
  • Strong finance & operations capabilities include knowledge in handling R&D budget, spend & maintaining the expenses & reporting them with various dashboards.
  • Hands on experience on tools like Coupa, SAP, or Oracle.
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Advance Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • In depth knowledge of managing processes in partnership with procurement, imports/exports, logistics, and material control & management
  • Experience partnering with procurement on the vendor management/negotiation process or both direct and indirect buys.
  • Ability to manage responsibilities to meet demanding schedule, quality and documentation requirements for material management and handling
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills required
  • Strong knowledge and experience with different purchasing software platforms
  • Microsoft Office software knowledge
  • Meticulous attention to detail expected for this position
  • Reconcile statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Answer procurement questions
  • Work with suppliers to initiate the return of products
