As a Sales Training Manager, you take pride in representing Baxter and our products. Your keen understanding of our deep portfolio of products and belief in the value and quality they provide to patients fuels your confidence. Baxter’s comprehensive pharmaceuticals' portfolio contains injectables (including ready-to-administer products), inhaled gases and compounded medications, and is designed to expand access to products that simplify medication preparation and support patient safety. We are looking for a passionate and transformational individual to help enable our high performance sales team. In this role, you’ll be at the center of crafting our future sales force. You will be responsible for designing and implementing training programs that equip our team with the vital skills and knowledge to provide impactful solutions to patients globally. You will help Identify, build, and conduct training for the full US Pharma sales teams, across the Pharma portfolio. In strong partnership with our commercial training and development COE, you will have the opportunity to collaboratively develop, deliver, and launch learning collateral for our new hires, and upskill our entire salesforce. As we launch new products at a rapid pace, you’ll be on point to ensure that our sale force is proficient in product knowledge, industry trends, and customer needs.
What you'll be doing
- Collaborate with team members and subject matter authorities to craft, develop and conduct engaging virtual/live training.
- Develop training in partnership with commercial colleagues that fully prepare the workforce to launch and sell new products prior to launch
- Train the sales force on sophisticated sales techniques
- Collaborate with marketing and sales team members to conduct training approaches that support the tactical implementation of our marketing strategy.
- Work closely with marketing on continuous design, delivery, and implementation of training to maintain sales force effectiveness in the marketplace.
- Implement new learning tools and innovative training delivery to increase retention for launch products.
- Use data and metrics to measure, analyze, and advise success of the function.
- Act as the project lead for all new hire sales classes; Conduct training sessions and assessments by facilitating the most appropriate format for new hire training purposes; communicate feedback to managers on new hire performance.
- Apply measurement to training sessions to evaluate the opportunities and success of the training sessions.
- Ability to balance multiple demands and team members, as well as balance priorities simultaneously.
- Connect the dots between the content authority and sales messaging for the salesforce.
- Proficient in conveying ideas and information through both written and verbal channels.
- Demonstrate understanding of clinical therapy and product knowledge and relevant customer call point needs and craft effective workshops to assess training needs, design, develop, and implement training to achieve desired training results.
- Demonstrated comprehension of the selling process - capability to understand and complete sales procedures.
- Collaborate with partners and team members to ensure the successful execution of the launch training event.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to adapt training based on various learning styles.
- Proficient use of virtual meeting platform(s).
- Capability to adapt to and effectively use digital learning tools
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years healthcare industry with proven sales success strongly preferred.
- Clinical experience (such as a Pharmacist/ Pharmacy Technician) is optional but encouraged.
- Commercial Training experience is required.
- Preferred knowledge in healthcare Pharma industry space.
- Residing in the Chicagoland area is required.
- Travel up to 50% to host workshops and training events, which may include weekend travel.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career.
At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $112,000 to $143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
