Your Role:

This position is responsible for leading, managing, and directing a sales team comprised of Territory Business Managers and Therapy Development Specialist to achieve the financial and business objectives of the region. As a sales leader, this role will have full accountability to the region’s quota for disposables and capital sales in alignment with the Annual Operating Plan. This individual is responsible for implementing business strategies, personnel development, directing and monitoring the daily sales activities of the team, and ensuring customer satisfaction related to sales activities.

The product portfolio includes innovative technologies and therapies for continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE). 

The preferred locations for the Territory Business Manager are Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Nashville, or St Louis.

What you will be doing:

  • Plan and lead the sales & development efforts of the region including contract compliance, staffing, training, performance management, coaching plans, administrative requirements (Salesforce.com, Tableau, OneDrive, Workday, Concur, etc.).

  • Drive the implementation of team strategies to ensure the attainment of regionally focused objectives.

  • Plan, direct, and control the sales and business activities for the region through the translation of strategic plans into sales strategies to attain sales volume, product mix and profit objectives.

  • Prepare annual regional forecasts and participate in the determination of market potential and in preparation of sales expense estimates for the region.

  • Support the Territory Business Managers and Therapy Development Specialists with prospective customers, deliver effective sales presentations, provide technical and administrative product information and/or demonstrations, and quote appropriate customer prices.

  • Contact and collaborate with IDN Directors on major accounts within region to develop opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Partner with sales support, marketing and R&D in activities such as sales promotion, training or market research in planning and completing special projects.

  • Promote culture and personnel development through regular field engagements (ride alongs).

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 7+ years of healthcare sales experience and 3+ years of sales management experience.

  • The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral and presentation skills.

  • Position requires ability to analyze and interpret data for effective sales strategies and good organization/time leadership skills.

  • The candidate must demonstrate an eye for business and knowledge of sales processes as well as strong leadership and decision-making abilities.

  • The ability to understand and adapt to customer changing needs is critical.

  • Travel is required and may involve visits to remote or urban areas either individually or with other personnel (50%+)

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career.  At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.  To that end, this position has a base salary range of $150,000 to $165,000 plus a commission target. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position.  The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
