Job Description

The Digital Services EMEA team is seeking an Integration Engineer to work out of our Gloucester office

This is a highly specialist customer facing technical role where you will be remotely working with customer IT and Integration teams to design, implement and test the integration between Baxter Digital Products and customer systems.

The majority of work will initially focus on the Baxter ICNET product where you will use the Rhapsody Integration Engine to remotely develop interfaces which connect Baxter’s Digital Products to a variety of hospital systems such as EMR’s, Laboratories, PAS, Surgery, Pharmacy, Radiology, Vitals etc.

The role will also require you to assist with the integration and occasional installation of other Baxter Digital products to Hospital systems such as EMR’s. For this element of the role, knowledge of remote connectivity tools, Linux software installation and Containerisation with products such as Kubernetes will be advantageous.

The Digital Services EMEA Integration Team operates within a hybrid Agile / Scrum framework and this role requires both the ability to work collaboratively within the department to plan and implement projects, as well as a high level of independence and self-management in order to deliver on the work you commitment to.

What we need from you:

  • Extensive working knowledge of the data messaging standards encountered within healthcare systems, i.e. HL7, XML, CSV

  • Shown experience of working with Integration Engine technology such as Rhapsody (preferred), Mirth/NextGen, Ensemble etc. to set up:

  • Communications between upstream and downstream systems.

  • Data Definitions

  • Mapping of client data to achieve the required data-set.

  • Good working knowledge of SQL on SQL Server and MySQL

  • Excellent interpersonal and business communications skills.

  • Experience working with globally and culturally diverse teams spread across multiple time zones.

  • Healthcare background with pharmacy / micro-biology knowledge would be advantageous

  • Experience of Agile tools and methodologies.

  • A proactive attitude with good organization skills

  • Must be able to balance multiple tasks concurrently

  • Ability to prioritise and progress own workload.

  • Must be an effective problem solver

  • Experience of change management would be beneficial.

Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject such as Computer Science, IT/information systems, or equivalent industry experience.

  • Integration Engine certification (Such as Lyniate Rhapsody certified Associate or Professional) would be beneficial but not essential
