TRAINING & COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST - JOB DESCRIPTION

This role is designed to enhance our abilities in that area and is one of crucial importance to ongoing operations in this regard.

It is positioned to report directly to the Head of Operations with oversight responsibility for training & compliance processes and outcomes across the associated operation. 

The role will play a pivotal part in actively contributing to the strategy, vision and direction of operational training and compliance, retaining a dotted line and close working relationship with the Training Site Lead.

Main responsibilities of the role:

  • Overall coordination and support of operations tasked training assignments and On the Job Training (OJT) activities, including timeliness, effective assessment and evaluation of training outcomes and overall achievement of regulatory and operating  training requirements.
  • Work closely with employees, trainers, supervision and management to develop strategy, to influence and ensure compliance and training needs are met on a continuous basis in line with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop a best in class training and compliance program, with a focus  on continuous improvement incorporating a proactive approach to the identification and resolution of issues and opportunities for improvement and address issues.
  • Fulfil the role of one of the Site Master Trainers.
  • Trained by the Corporate Quality Training Group as a Master Trainer
  • Training our trainers to ensure they are suitable and qualified for Task/On the Job Training (OJT) training of employees as required.
  • Oversight for the effectiveness and continuous improvement of our training processes across the Plants.
  • Ensure that Curricula and training assigned are optimised for all roles on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure a simple and sustainable training & compliance scoreboard exists and is transparent to all business stakeholders on an ongoing basis. Ensure the tier process is operating across all levels to leverage this data to best effect on both lead and lag indicators and processes.
  • Conduct regular compliance checks as may be required, while also aligning with internal audit process to influence overall compliance across the business.
  • Close working relationship with the QA group at senior and local department level working to ensure that any non-conformances are minimised and any learnings from such are built back into existing processes to best effect in an efficient manner.
  • Directly represent the operation as necessary with any related audit.
  • Optimise training interventions, including content of procedures, to ensure they are required, efficient and fully outcome focussed.
  • Support all Plant compliance and training programmes to include Annual GMP, Contractor, Fork Truck, Operator Qualification and Safety programmes within the operation.
  • Leverage external best practice to strive for continuous improvement on an ongoing basis.
