Country Sales Manager

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Masters degree preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.

  • Minimum 8 -10 years sales experience in a medical device company.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in leading a team.

  • Familiarity and seniority within the medical device industry, preferably in Speciality Patient & ICU Beds, Surgical Tables, and Patient Monitoring Equipment.

  • Expertise in managing Distributors is crucial.

  • Familiarity with the healthcare system, an excellent understanding of the decision-making process in hospitals, and a good understanding of purchasing groups of key accounts.

  • Knowledge of product portfolio as well as related products and care areas.

  • International experience and familiarity with working in a matrix structure. Comfortable navigating diverse organizational settings that combine global perspectives with local needs.

  • Effective collaborating skills across functions (internally and externally).

  • A strong grasp of financial concepts, a keen eye for business strategies, and a drive to achieve results to lead the unit to success.

Responsibilities:

In this position, you will have the opportunity to lead three business units across the country: PSS (Patient Support Systems), GSS (Global Surgical Solutions), and FLC (Front Line Care). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare, implement, and review sales operating plans which identify likely revenue and number growth in accordance with the Business Unit plans.

  • Meet sales, financial, and customer targets aligned with business and personal objectives while supervising the sales team regularly.

  • Assist in developing and sharing the strategic direction of the business.

  • Coach, develop, motivate, support, and lead the sales team while acting as a role model and supporting the principles of our organization.

  • Lead and run the account planning process for your area.

  • Constantly look for ways to improve the sales force efficiency while implementing tools to lead its performance.

  • Build long-term relationships with existing and new customers while keeping them fully informed about Baxter products & therapies.

  • Ensure customer needs are wholly met, guaranteeing customer happiness.

  • Own customer issues and ensure all parties and team members are kept informed of relevant information, to enhance customer loyalty and revenue generation.

  • Gather and maintain relevant sales and customer data.

  • Promote Baxter Healthcare products, therapies, and services to key decision-makers.

  • Provide input into budgetary and planning processes and supervise performance against budget, taking appropriate action to address any variances.

  • Co-operate closely with Marketing, Sales Support, and Customer Service to reach full customer happiness & the set targets.

  • Lead the tender management process for all tenders in your area of responsibility in order to ensure long-term business growth (where applicable).
