The Program Manager role in Baxter Braine L'Alleud reports directly to the Director of Program Management R&D. This position is responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of product development, sustaining, or improvement projects within the Medication Delivery Global Business, a core growth area with over $2B annual sales, offering infusion pumps, intravenous drugs, and administration and pharmacy preparation devices.

What you'll do :

Your key responsibilities will include leading cross-functional scientific and technical teams in all aspects of project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure for life cycle management of key products. You will also provide leadership within the MD business and manage collaborator expectations with regard to deliverables during the program.

You will lead teams in the timely resolution of complex problems, including developing technical solutions, project plans, resourcing plans, and budgets. Additionally, you will develop core team and project management capabilities across the organization and be comfortable influencing and communicating with senior leaders inside and outside the business unit.

You will follow project management guidelines, standard performance metrics, and regulatory guidelines to apply standard process project management skills, methodologies, and standards (such as PMBOK). You will establish, track, and communicate project risks and manage all financial aspects of assigned projects, from initiation through close, which may include capital expenditures, functional expenses, and program positioning. Finally, you will collaborate with marketing, legal, and purchasing to develop and negotiate contracts.

What you'll bring :

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering or related subject area plus 7 years project management experience. Desired: Master’s degree or equivalent experience in related field.
  • Minimum: 10 yrs. in product life cycle experience with demonstrated success leading multi-site, global or enterprise wide programs in the medical products industry.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification preferred
  • Self-motivated, good interpersonal skills, experienced in analyzing complex problems and in driving high performing teams.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices and Product Development Process requirements
  • Strong leadership and financial foresight skills
  • Proficient with scheduling software
  • Proven product development experience
  • Respectful of individuals and the diverse contributions of all
