Your Role at Baxter

As an EHS manager, your main responsibilities will be owning the Environment, Health, and Safety area by promoting the creation, implementation, and maintenance of the related programs, all ensuring compliance with current legislation and corporate requirements. Support leadership management of programs in the area, streamlining matters at their level of competence.

What you'll be doing

  • Ensure outpatient medical care for employees through consultations, physical examinations, medication administration, and medical-hospital referrals when vital.

  • Coordinate the PCMSO (Occupational Health Medical Control Program), by carrying out due medical and guide examinations, and preparing all required documentation.

  • Ensure the compatibility of industrial projects (changes in product, process, investment, etc.) with internal health, environmental, and current legislation standards, through proposal assessments, impact analysis, and identification of solution alternatives with other areas involved.

  • Sensitize and educate employees, at various hierarchical levels, about the relevance of health and environmental programs, through the conduction of campaigns, courses, and pertinent lectures.

  • Ensure the reliability of the statistical and epidemiological data presented, through the collection, analysis, and preparation of statements.

  • Ensure the efficiency of compliance with relevant audits and inspections, through requirements and presentation analysis of the required documentation.

  • Advise CIPA regarding aspects of occupational medicine.

  • Ensure budget consistency under your responsibility, through its planning and control of short and medium-term goals.

  • Develop a successor and a qualified work team aligned with Baxter's needs.

  • Contribute to the consolidation, creation, and compliance with the standards, procedures, and corporate policies existing in the company

What you'll bring

B.S. Degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, or related field required; Specialization in EHS Engineering

Registration with CREA as an Occupational Safety Engineer

Minimum of 8 years of related experience.

Sophisticated English and proficiency in Spanish is desirable

Strong professional writing skills to prepare technical reports

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital savviness

Proficient in organizational change, training, problem-solving (root cause analysis), and influencing others

Knowledge of the characteristics of industrial processes and their interferences, specific legislation for Environment and Occupational Safety, procedures to combat emergencies

Knowledge in Project Management and Cost Management

Yellow Belt certification is desirable
