Your role at Baxter
This is where your expertise helps people
Supports engineering as a technical leader by performing tasks required to implement various types of capital and support projects. This position executes tasks related to new process integrations into manufacturing plants as well as provides technical services and support to existing processes in various Baxter Plants. Analyzes equipment failures to determine root cause and recommends corrective action. This position can also serve as a back-up for equipment builds as an electrical or mechanical technician.

What you'll be doing
Participates in new process integration initiatives in manufacturing environments and provides support to existing processes.
Suggests, develops, and documents maintenance plans for new equipment and supports training of maintenance teams in manufacturing plants where new equipment is being installed.
Supports definition and recommends spare parts needed for the introduction of new equipment to manufacturing environments.
Serves as process technician SME for new equipment and supports training of operators in manufacturing plants where equipment is being introduced.
Ability to install and connect electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls and components.
Must use caution while working around the installation of moving machinery or equipment and comply with all Lock out/Tag out and Confined Space rules and requirements.
Must comply with Safety and Arc Flash procedures for work area.
Perform as required repairs to machinery and equipment at manufacturing facilities as required.
Occasionally required to work in areas that are hot, cold, confined, noisy, or dirty.
Communicate effectively on a technical level with management, engineering, plant personnel and outside technical resource and support services.
As needed, travel to plant locations, both foreign and domestic, to install or service equipment.
Able to perform other duties as assigned and work overtime as required.
Provide a high level of troubleshooting ability to repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Ensures proper and timely completion of necessary documentation.
Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOPs.
Maintain 6-S standards for work areas.
Adhere to the Baxter Code of Conduct and become familiar with corporate specifications and policies.
Maintain 100% on time completion of all required training.
What you'll bring
High school diploma or GED equivalent required, technical certifications a plus.
10 or more years of experience in manufacturing environments in areas such as: Operations, Engineering or Maintenance.
Prior experience working in an FDA regulated environment preferred.
Ability to read & understand electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings.
Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Develop strong troubleshooting skills.
Must be able to work with limited supervision, have strong teamwork and communication skills, both verbally and written, good documentation skills and practices, strong computer skills, customer oriented, work safely and effectively under stressful conditions.
Skilled in MS Word, MS Excel and other similar programs.
Desire to broaden knowledge and improve skill level is imperative.
Must be able to bend, squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, reach at or below shoulder level, twist and bend at the neck, twist and bend at the waist and balance.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and draw accurate conclusions based on available information.
Must not be allergic to penicillin or cephalosporin drugs.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $68,000-$93,500 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
