Vantive: A New Company Built On Our Legacy
Baxter is on a journey to separate our ~$5B Kidney Care segment into a standalone company. Recognized as leader within division. Responsible for the strategic planning for the department. Provides leadership in the development of new ideas, products, processes and techniques. Frequently manages an organization and a budget in excess of $5 million dollars. Directs through management team the completion of complex projects or programs within boundaries of quality, time and budget. Based on significant technical expertise, reviews and approves complex design concepts of technical staff. Provides technical direction to staff. Fosters an environment of creativity and innovation in completing divisional and cross-functional/business unit responsibilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Will lead a global Systems COE (Center of Excellence) comprising of Reliability & Compliance COE, Human Factors COE and Lead System Integrators COE with team members based in USA, India and Italy.
Lead the Reliability & Compliance COE need to ensure that all the products of the in portfolio are aligned and compliant to all the FDA and other country standards and regulations.
Lead the Human Factors COE which works with engineering, Medical and Regulatory for various testing (formative / summative etc.) needed for the project milestones enabling our products to be available in the various markets.
Lead the team of Lead System Integrators (LSI) who work with functions like software/ electrical/ mechanical/ V&V to build and own the execution plan for R&D delierables to the program managers.
Provides strategic planning leadership by setting strategies and priorities based upon anticipation of program deliverables.
Provides strategic planning leadership by setting strategies and priorities based upon anticipation and application of industry trends and emerging technologies.
Create and communicate global vision of the organizationcontribution to the business unit/division goals, insuring industry leadership.
Maximize the effectiveness of internal and external resources (business unit and cross-business unit) to meet business objectives.
Direct the development and implementation of new product/process requiring new technologies starting from Project Proposal through Post-launch Quality Assessment.
Using broad knowledge and experience in cross-functionalactivities, coordinate and direct activities of teams and individual contributors to ensure market dominance in appropriate product lines.
Create and maintain an environment where team members experience personal and professional growth and become a more self-directed team.
Responsible for Final Approval on product/process documentation.
Review and approves proposals to determine if benefits derived and possible applications justify expenditures. Presents proposal to senior management for consideration and allocation of funds. Responsible for preparation of project cost estimates up to multi-million dollar range. Directs all project expenditures and cost tracking.
Provide strategic planning leadership to ensure adequate resources areavailable to complete all business unit and division responsibility.
Qualifications
Must possess strong knowledge of engineering disciplines and solid knowledge of related disciplines and experience of implementing in medical industry.
Ability to establish long-range business plans which anticipate global trends, technical, economic and socio-political conditions.
Demonstrate understanding of business drivers, customer needs and global dynamics to create viable strategic plans.
Proven track record of management/leadership effectiveness.
Must possess strong ability to negotiate and maximize effectiveness of resources and influence others internally and externally.
BS / MS in relevant engineering discipline, with advanced technical degree or equivalent experience.
12 or more years of relevant technical experience and minimum 5+ years of leading teams and managers.
5+ years of technical management experience including cross-functional teams, resource and budget management and strategic development experience
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Vantive, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $184,000 - $253,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
