Your role at Baxter:

As the Transport Specialist for Greece, you will be responsible for owning the transportation and warehousing operations for Baxter's products in Greece. This includes leading all aspects of the distribution of products to customers and patients, handling the warehouse operations in Athens provided by our third-party logistic supplier (3PL), and supervising the relationship with 3PL stock.

What are your responsibilities?

  • Handle contracts with suppliers, ensuring effective logistics and transportation management
  • Collaborate with suppliers in MBR meetings to drive efficiency and resolve issues
  • Supervise and update warehouse KPIs monthly to meet regional standards
  • Design and optimize transportation networks in Greece
  • Provide expertise in local sophisticated warehousing practices and technology
  • Be responsible for the development and implementation of SOPs
  • Lead imports/exports and freight cost allocation for efficient logistics performance
  • Coordinate accurate and timely invoicing processes
  • Prepare comprehensive MOH reporting for imports and sales
  • Handle and resolve emergency orders, discards, and service complaints
  • Coordinate and complete CAPA, nonconformances, and service complaints
  • Source and evaluate 3PL providers for effective distribution and warehousing solutions
  • Ensure compliance with local legislation and Baxter's Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements

We are presently seeking people who have:

  • Degree or equivalent experience level qualification- preferred
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar role
  • EHS experience (highly valued)
  • Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices for Medicines (GDP) requirements -preferred
  • Proficiency in English and Greek
  • Analytical, technological, and digitally minded
  • Adventurous and collaborative
  • Ability to influence, educate, and communicate in a customer/supplier relationship
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer orientation
  • Knowledge of GDP requirements
  • Knowledge of JDE, MS Office
