Job Summary:

  • Overall product management of anesthesia products, including strategy development and execution with a deep understanding of the market and customers.
  • Collaborate with relevant internal functions and external partners to implement critical cross-functional projects, such as new product development and addressing product quality/supply issues including interactions with counterparts of global team in overseas.
  • Improve team marketing skills through strategic projects and tactical tasks.
  • Develop a team culture based on trust and mutual respect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Budget Sales Targets:
    • Drive sales initiatives to meet or exceed annual sales targets and supervise sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to ensure goals are met.
  • Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies:
    • Build comprehensive marketing plans to promote anesthesia products, including market segmentation, targeting, and positioning strategies.
    • Analyze competitive landscape and market trends to find opportunities and threats.
    • Conduct and Analyze Market Research to capture insights on customer needs, preferences, and happiness.
  • Build Action Plans and Manage Expense Budgets:
    • Develop detailed action plans for marketing campaigns, including timelines, resources, and budgets.
    • Supervise and control marketing expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Develop Sales Forecasts and Manage Supply:
    • Collaborate with sales and supply chain teams to develop accurate sales forecasts and ensure adequate product supply to meet market demand, addressing any supply chain issues promptly.
  • Lead Projects Related to Marketing Events, and Creation:
    • Plan and implement marketing events and build marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, and digital content, to support sales efforts

Education and Experiences

  • Minimum of five years’ experience as a Product Manager in pharma or medical device company.
  • Experience developing and implementing marketing strategies

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required and MBA or related advanced degree preferred
  • Solid understanding of pharma promotional practices and related regulations.

Crucial Skills and Abilities:

  • Native level Japanese and Sophisticated business-level English: TOEIC score of 800+ preferred.
  • Passion for continuous self-development.
  • Strong logical reasoning and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong social skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships both internally and externally.
  • Proactive effort to improve marketing skills.
