Your role at Baxter

As a core member of the Corporate Operational Excellence (OpEX) team, this person will support OpEx deployment at Baxter. This includes program deployment and support across the plants. This individual should be a strong team player with highly developed communication and presentation skills.

What you'll be doing

  • Implement Lean Thinking and Lean Methodologies across the different sites in the GBU, to address required business improvements
  • Assist in the coordination and development of the organization’s Operational Excellence deployment plan to include supporting Value Improvement Projects. (VIP), Value-Added/ Non-Value-Added Analysis and OEE improvements.
  • Support Baxter Operating System (BOS) implementation, defining lean strategy, standards, lean support requirements and implementation plans
  • End to end Value Stream Management of local processes and improvements.
  • Coach and mentor Certified Lean Leaders to train and implement lean, pilot and deploy best practices and transfer lean knowledge across Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) knowledge
  • Ensure each site has local OpEx support infrastructure and deployment plan
  • Work closely with the site management to better understand how corporate OpEx can assist the sites in their continuous improvement journey.
  • Coach and mentor Lean Leaders in their certification journey.

What you'll bring

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent degree in Business Management, Engineering, or other related field of study.
  • Certified in LEAN Manufacturing with a minimum 7 years of business operations and/or plant manufacturing or engineering experience, which includes a minimum of 3+ years of demonstrated process improvement success.
  • Strong experience in manufacturing across multiple manufacturing sites in different geographies.
  • Broad business knowledge and ability to link customer needs with business processes.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in an international company, interacting with diverse locations across the globe.
  • Must have hands on experience implementing Lean Thinking, Lean Tools and Kaizen events to drive Lean improvements in manufacturing operations
  • Ability to create Lean Training as well as applying Lean Material Flow techniques.
  • Ability to apply Lean Thinking and Lean Tools in high volume or low volume operations.
  • Must have experience in effective root cause problem solving using Toyota 8 Step Process.
  • Ability to lead teams and develop support programs.
  • Expected to directly lead and/or co-lead high-impact process improvement projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects. Proven skills in planning, budgeting and project management directed toward achievement of business goals.
  • The desire to inspire change.
  • Strong analytical/statistical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong coaching, facilitation, negotiating and influencing skills.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000 - $143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
