Your role at Baxter:

This document outlines the job requirements and responsibilities for the Sr. Project Manager position at Baxter in Medina. The Sr. Project Manager provides leadership for major programs, leading teams through the development and implementation processes. They will assist in building arguments leading to approval and collaborate with Baxter sites globally. This person will harmonize with and influence senior collaborators and will ensure projects are on-time and on budget.

What you'll be doing:

  • Accountable for project/program team performance, program schedule and execution, budget commitments, and spend.
  • Collaborates through program updates and reviews updates with all functions and levels of management ensuring effective ongoing communications across teams and collaborators.
  • Ensures proactive identification and communication of project risks, development of risk plans, and proactive management of risk response strategies.
  • Identifies potential conflict situations and proactively finds solutions to handle them optimally and promote positive outcomes.
  • Enhances business results by continuously improving the organization's ability to complete programs from identification through implementation.
  • - Conflict Resolution - Anticipates difficult situations and guides the team to proactive business solutions resulting in effective and agreed-upon outcomes.
  • May handle all segment activities for acquisition integration projects ensuring value targets are realized.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree (MBA) is preferred.  
  • 7+ years of experience leading complex projects/programs including management experience with demonstrated success leading multi-site, global or enterprise-wide programs is required.
  • Experience working in a regulated medical products industry is required.
  • Experience working in an Operations functional area or site is preferred.  
  • PMI or IPMA or equivalent certification is desired.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory or Clinical Practices and Product Development Process requirements.
  • Expertise in all aspects of program management.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop others.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $136,000.00 - $187,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and long-term incentive.
