Your Role at Baxter

The Intern will be an integral part of the OPEX team, and will work on small to medium size projects(s) which help improve the efficiency of the current operations.  This will include working with Manufacturing Technicians, leads, managers, and subject manner experts.  You will learn about the tools and approach deployed in OPEX with a focus on change management skills.

What you'll be doing

• Support and help coordinate OE training sessions, Standardized Work, 6S and visual Controls.

• Lead basic OE projects with support, as needed, from OpEx organization

• Analyze key Metrics to understand root cause and support additional data collection

• Create PowerPoint presentations, flow charts, notes, and charts in Excel

• Meet with cross-functional process owners/leaders to understand current state and to gain buy-in to future state processes

• Present findings and results to cross-functional team(s), as needed

 What you'll bring

• Pursuing or recently graduated with Bachelor’s degree in Science field (i.e. Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, IT), or Business AdministrationFamiliar with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access), Visio

• Experience with Excel macros is preferred

• Good communication and writing skills

• Works well in teams

• Organized and structured

• Analytical with strong mathematic skills

• Ability to complete assignments at the “task and activity” levels.
