Baxter Healthcare Corporation is seeking an Analyst who demonstrates strong analytical skills and a hands-on approach to join our Reporting & Analytics organization. As an Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on a transformative program that aims to streamline processes, enhance reporting & analytics, and provide personal skill-building and professional growth opportunities. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business leaders and teams to deliver high-quality reporting and analytics solutions. We are looking for a proactive individual who pays attention to detail and possesses effective communication abilities.

Crucial Duties and Responsibilities!

  • Collaborate with individuals in the Finance department to discover data-driven possibilities for enhancing business solutions.
  • Enhance and optimize data and data pipeline architecture to improve data flow and collection for diverse teams.
  • Create data sets for the analytics and data science team to optimize financial forecast/plan.
  • Oversee and coordinate end-to-end projects, which involve managing project timelines, gathering and processing data, estimating project requirements, synthesizing information, and developing data models.
  • Support the delivery of comprehensive management reporting packages for all financial statements, including monthly reviews of budget vs. actual results.
  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement financial dashboards and models, and monitor outcomes.
  • Understand and analyze data to identify trends and provide insights to unlock potential value for the business.
  • Evaluate and drive continuous improvements and innovation in reporting and advanced analytics.
  • Continuously focus on building competency in new and future technologies and solutions related to data, reporting, and analytics.
  • Acquire deep expertise in the core functions of the job and establish effective connections with key individuals in the business.
  • Liaise with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and the Advanced Analytics team to support automated forecasting and planning.
  • Liaise with the Reporting & Analytics and Global FP&A organizations to develop standard advanced analytical tools and improve data quality and governance.
  • Update process flows, operating manuals, training guides, and standard operating procedures as needed.
  • Ensure global standards and alignment in all reports, processes, and communication.

Key Proficiencies

  • Experience in data engineering, architecting, and governance in a large global organization.
  • Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages (Python, PySpark, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
  • Hands on experience with various source systems like Oracle, SAP, Flat Files, JSON, XML & REST APIs, integration using Alteryx, AWS Glue, Athena, AWS Kinesis, and S3 File Gateway.
  • A proven experience and understanding of architecting, designing, and operationalization of large-scale data and analytics solutions on Cloud Data Warehouse or Snowflake or AWS S3.
  • Understanding of data pipelines and modern ways of automating data pipeline.
  • Familiarity with Agile (e.g., scrum, Kanban) and DevOps practices is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience working with Alteryx, Collibra, Oracle Apex, Snowflake, SQL, and various AWS cloud services.
  • It would be beneficial to have knowledge of visualizing and presenting data using PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native approaches to data warehousing and data governance is a plus.
  • Excellent financial modeling skills preferred, experience in statistical modeling techniques is a plus.
  • Experience with financial systems such as JD Edwards (JDE), Hyperion Planning, and Cognos preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Flexibility is required to work in global time zones and a hybrid model.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as the need arises.
  • English: Native or bilingual proficiency required.

Qualifications/Experiences!

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, architecting, and governance for operational and managerial reporting/analytics.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, math, statistics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of advanced and relevant experience in data engineering techniques.
  • Certifications in AWS cloud services, data analytics technology, or Agile are must.
