Your Role at Baxter

This is where your work and the relationships you build are critical to our mission.

As the Senior Director for Service Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring that Baxter's Global Service Network is positioned to be a source of competitive advantage, capable of delivering long-term performance needed by its businesses. Leads Baxter's Service strategic planning processes, including the annual strategy review, in-depth review of key strategic issues and drives execution of key operational projects that span Global Services to achieve the strategic plan and to achieve growth and profitability.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the Global Service team in development of business growth strategy (both organic and inorganic)
  • Collaborate with Regional leaders to align global strategy with regional implementation plans
  • Lead integration activities
  • Analyze market, competitive, internal data to prioritize investments to enable growth
  • Support Global Service operational excellence by establishing, harmonizing, and monitoring global service KPIs, developing analytics and service level agreements
  • Develop and manage Omni-Channel portal
  • Own US Fleet management
  • Establish new contracting and invoicing processes
  • Establish Global training strategy aligned to fulfilling long range global service strategy

What you'll bring

  • Strategic service approach with in-depth market knowledge
  • Knowledge of healthcare marketplace and an understanding of competitive dynamics
  • Understanding of the key drivers of service performance and how service capabilities can be used to derive competitive advantage in a healthcare setting
  • Problem solving skills, dealing with complex and ambiguous business problems and develop concrete business recommendations
  • Quantitative and qualitative assessment skills, familiarity with financial modeling
  • Critical thinking skills, ability to constructively challenge ideas and assumptions
  • Leadership and influencing skills, able to drive projects to completion in a highly matrixed, consensus-driven organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems Business
  • Comfortable advocating for teams and driving solutions in a matrix organization with competing demands and decentralized decision-making
  • Consistent track record to handle diverse customer requirements within multiple channels and track record of achieving service profitability
  • Ability to develop/build solutions to accommodate customer requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and motivated by high level problem solving
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate and influence effectively with internal and external customers
  • Experience within a Global fast-paced matrix environment


We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.The estimated base salary for this position is$176,000 - $242,000 annually.The estimatedrangeis meant to reflect an anticipated salaryrangefor the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipatedrangebased upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and/or long-term incentive.
