Home Options Network:

Provides consulting services in the US to help physicians or businesses start and enhance their own PD programs through a wide range of offerings. “HON” also operates internally assisting various groups develop their strategy and educate the US sales and marketing teams.This team works closely with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the Baxter value proposition and educate the US PD market

Critical Responsibilities

  • The Director of Home Options Network will be focused on executing on the strategic expansion of the PD market in the US through their experience and understanding of dialysis clinic operations, helping to create new opportunities in the US PD market
  • Expanding Baxter’s Home Options Networks overall capabilities to include a formal urgent start strategy and offering
  • This person will work internationally to understand our current value based care strategy, and apply these learnings to advance patient care and develop the US strategy
  • Work closely with various internal/external stakeholders to formulate and execute reimbursement strategy
  • Monitoring legislation and policy developments regarding dialysis reimbursement and educating/training  internal/external stakeholders regarding these change
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (Medical, Clinical, Regulatory, Government Affairs, Region/In-country Marketing) and Key Opinion Leaders globally to define and execute a strategy and roadmap for developing PD therapy in the US
  • Key areas of focus will include stakeholder education, advocacy, practice guidelines and market expansion both individually and through their direct reports
  • Shape and influence the external environment and accelerate therapy adoption
  • Build relationships with SMEs and KOLs in key markets to help develop and support PD expansion
  • Serves as region and country liaison to ensure alignment with and implementation of key market development strategies
  • Establish and monitor leading and lagging metrics to track impact of key initiatives.

Key Qualifications

  • Seasoned executive within the US dialysis industry who has experience working with vendors, healthcare providers and dialysis providers
  • Successfully negotiated contracts with a variety of stakeholders, acting as the lead negotiator during their prior work experience
  • Solid/demonstrated ability to understand market trends, financial data, and customer needs and assess competitive intelligence data
  • Strong leader and a team player, willing and able to support other team members as needed to achieve project goals 
  • Promotes open, constructive and collaborative relations with leadership, varied teams, peers and client groups
  • Must have demonstrated success in delivering results while executing on a national growth strategy from a clinical and operational perspective. (defining, shaping and growing a market or segment nationally).
  • Experience in SME engagement, Advocacy, Evidence Generation, and Market Access across key markets
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence others within a matrixed environment.
  • Able to travel nationally and internationally 50% of the time
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Experience working cross-culturally with good cultural knowledge, insight and understanding 
  • Experience in ALL renal replacement therapies

  • Strategic Thinking - Solid ability to understand market trends, complex financial data, and customer needs to help define advanced planning/positioning strategies that create value/drive growth. Ability to generate market insights/convert them to a multi-generational strategic plan.
  • Customer Focus – A passion to represent Voice of Customer of patients/professionals to understand unmet market needs/cost-effective solutions. A proven track record of managing high profile customer relationships, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Therapy and Product Expertise – Strong ability to translate therapeutic goals/practices, along with technical product details, into easy to understand features/benefits to position with differentiated communication tools.  
  • Strong Team Player - High energy team player with a focus on meeting commitments/ contributing to a high-performance culture, work in a multicultural matrix environment and build strong collaborative relationships with a diverse group of cross-functional team members including third party vendors, quality, regulatory, supply chain, customer service, transportation, industry partners, and sales
  • Communications - Ability to develop/execute verbal and written communication plans, messaging, and brand campaigns across multiple stakeholders, organization levels and functions.

Education and Experience

  • BS/BA degree required. MBA strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience; Proven PD Therapy development strategy in a leadership position
  • Experience leading a team of seasoned professionals through strategy and execution required
  • Must be skilled in communication, managing in a matrix, negotiation, and strong executive presence

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $160,000 to $220,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentive .For questions about this, our pay philosophy, and available benefits, please speak to the recruiter if you decide to apply and are selected for an interview.
