Your role at Baxter:

You as Eng II, EHS, will promote compliance with quality requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Promote and participate in ICare's initiatives: if you see something, do something. Respond to and resolve in a timely manner the problems that may affect the quality, safety or efficiency of the product or the regulatory consistency of the process. Continuously seek regulatory completion in your process.

What you'll be doing:

Maintain and improve the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management Systems, as well as any other EHS program that the company handles (hygiene and ergonomics program, emergency response and brigade, management of waste, wastewater, air emissions, drinking water, coordinated across projects, make sure to local and corporate regulations, training, metrics, among others). Follow-up on tasks related to the chemical regency of the plant (Precursor license processing, report on consumption and purchases of precursors, follow-up on chemical regency observations, among others). Maintain consistency to Corporate Policies, legal requirements, and internal procedures by periodically reviewing and updating them. Support areas in interpreting and adjusting their processes to ensure compliance. Maintain conformity in reports to government entities within established deadlines (Occupational Health Council, Ministry of Health, MINAE, PROCOMER, etc.). Develop, supervise and complete simplified, robust and balanced EHS risk management solutions supporting Business Strategy and day-to-day operations, including specific, responsible actions and execution dates. Constant presence on the manufacturing floor and supporting Baxter Task Forces to proactively identify and prioritize opportunities, providing timely technical recommendations for existing or new operations, developing sustainable solutions, plans to promote continuous improvement and overall EHS performance. Support multi-functional efforts passionate about improving Baxter's Safety Culture. Assist the EHS Manager in adding actions needed for balanced results into the environmental, health, and safety management system. Offer advice and mentorship on regulatory and corporate changes to team members connected to the system. Participate with the organization's teams to find opportunities for improvement and resource savings, providing recommendations and prioritizing in an aligned way the fulfillment of EHS Management System requirements

What You'll Bring !

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent experience, or higher education in related areas. Experience in related fields of 2 years minimum. Sophisticated English, bilingual desirable. Certification in ISO 14001:2014, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 50001 standards (desirable). Internal Auditor Certificate (desirable).
