Your role at Baxter:
As the Operational Excellence Manager - Manager I, OPEX UCAN , you will have a unique opportunity to lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the UCAN Logistics Network at Baxter Healthcare Corporation. Your main focus will be overseeing, guiding, and mentoring site leadership to implement strategies that reduce waste, enhance efficiency and productivity, and foster improvements in quality. By coordinating and assisting the UCAN network, you will play a vital role in achieving our ambitious goals and delivering long-term benefits.

What you'll be doing:
- Identify, initiate, and facilitate continuous improvements, lean activities, and initiatives such as 6s, Kaizen, and visual management to drive operational excellence.
- Lead the planning and implementation of strategies aligned with our business goals, demonstrating your proven expertise in Continuous Improvement Methodologies, such as Lean/Six Sigma, and applying statistical applications.
- Take ownership of the multi-site implementation of Baxter Operating System (BOS), ensuring flawless execution across the network.
- Drive Margin Improvement Processes (MIPs) for each site within the network, optimizing operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead, mentor, and actively participate in activities that promote improved end-to-end process design and delivery of regional/site performance indicators and metrics, contributing to our world-class standards.
- Analyze company processes and offer valuable feedback to enhance competencies and encourage a broader perspective throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the value stream, utilizing your influencing skills to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Implement standardized processes and continuously improve training materials, ensuring consistent and efficient operations.
- Ensure timely delivery of products to customers, meeting our high standards for product quality, yield, operating costs, and process efficiency.
- Maintain strict compliance with all regulatory requirements, upholding our commitment to safety and quality.
What you'll bring:
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Warehousing/Supply Chain Operations, required.
- 3+ years of Industrial Engineering experience, required.
- Green or Black Belt Certification, preferred.
- Ability to travel to UCAN network sites, with a minimum of 25% travel required.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and social skills are essential for success in this role, as you will collaborate with diverse teams and lead by example.
- Ability to collect and analyze data to identify process improvement opportunities and determine potential root causes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise software applications, enabling you to effectively analyze and communicate data.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to implement change and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong multitasking abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and effectively communicate with senior management.
- In-depth process knowledge related to warehousing equipment/processes and/or operations processes, allowing you to make informed decisions and drive operational excellence.
- Strong assessment and troubleshooting skills, enabling you to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Demonstrated track record of interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate seamlessly with other departments and excel in a team environment.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $120,000 - $165,000annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentive.
