Your role

This is where my expertise drives business innovation.   As a Consultant – IT DevOps on the Product Operations team your work directly chips in to making a significant impact on others.  This position will be focused on delivering technology solutions to support a multi-year business transformation program.  You will be responsible as a software engineering expert in the implementation of cutting-edge technologies to enhance software delivery processes.  This role requires a combination of technical expertise, adaptive learning, leadership, and empathy to create an environment that fosters collaboration and innovation.

What you'll be doing

  • Empathize with program customers to identify needs and challenges and implement solutions through processes and technology
  • Define and execute proof of concept to inform software selection, technical, and process decisions
  • Conduct industry research to inform the transformation program DevOps roadmap, providing subject matter expertise and consultation.
  • Develop and implement technologies for automating software delivery processes, focusing on enhancing quality, security, compliance, speed, and operational efficiency
  • Implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment of software, reducing the time and effort required to deliver new features
  • Define and setup development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
  • Setting up monitoring and alerting systems to track the performance and health of the application and infrastructure
  • Ensuring the security of the application and infrastructure by implementing best practices, such as secure coding, encryption, and access controls
  • Configuring and managing collaboration tools, such as version control systems, issue tracking systems, and wikis, to facilitate communication and collaboration between development and operations teams
  • Implementing containerization technologies to package and deploy applications in a consistent and scalable manner
  • Troubleshoot, identify, and fix problems in the DevOps domain

What you'll bring

  •  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, MIS, or business required.
  • 7+ years of experience in engineering or related technology roles.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring software engineers.
  • Experience engineering DevOps technical solutions.  
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks
  • Experience with work management, collaboration tools, and version control systems.  
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting systems
  • Previous large transformation ERP program experience desired.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid communication, presentation, and social skills, with the ability to influence
  • Creative thinking, curiosity, and passions for exploring new ideas and pushing the boundaries of innovation.
