Summary:

  • Reports to Senior Manager, India Controller
  • Based out of Ahmedabad plant in India, this is a people manager role who will lead the entire A2R function of plant finance team

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Statutory Compliances:

  • Preparation of Financial Statement as per relevant Ind AS and conclusion of Statutory Audit and Tax Audit, by acting as a bridge between Auditors and BBS, local finance and business teams for smooth closure with nil observations
  • Coordinating with external consultants for Transfer Pricing (TP) filings, TP Documentation, preparation and analysis of TP Segmentation to meet benchmarked ALP
  • Payment of advance tax and Tax on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Filing of returns of Income Tax and withholding tax
  • Filing of GST Returns and payment of taxes after due adjustments of Input tax credit
  • Filing reply to notices of TDS, Income Tax, TP, GST and working for closure of ongoing assessment by taking the stands most favorable to the organization in tandem with the external consultants

Month-end Closing:

  • Preparation and review of various month-end schedules and their subsequent approvals in the Blackline tool for B/s recon
  • Preparing flux analytics for BS for representation to the top management
  • Uploading balances in reporting tool (HFM) and other compliances for subsidiaries and associates
  • Fixed asset and Inventory management
  • Review of transactions to ensure accuracy of GL coding and processing
  • Support global finance leaders with timely and accurate financial information and reporting
  • As A2R lead for pharma entity ensure appropriate accounting and reporting under USGAAP and Ind AS, compliance and local laws

Education and/or Experience:

  • A qualified Chartered Accountant with 8+ years of experience in finance in manufacturing setup preferably in Pharma or Medical Devices Company
  • Experience of working with Big Four Audit firms is preferable
  • Knowledge of Ind AS and USGAAP is desirable
  • Knowledge of JDE, Coupa, Blackline and Concur preferable
  • You should possess strong analytical skills, strategic thinking and leadership qualities
  • Experience of successfully managing teams
  • Management experience in a large multi-national organization, including SSC experience
  • Internal controls experience
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and drive execution at all levels of the organization on a global basis
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a change agent
  • Knowledge of, and experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining processes and their supporting policies and procedures organization wide
  • Operates independently and coaches’ others in complex, unique, strategic situations
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders from across the organization effectively, change behavior based on data analysis and tailor communication based on audience
