Summary

Supplier QA Governance Lead serves as Quality System Element Owner for Supplier Quality and leads a distributed team of Quality Professionals. The position develops global strategies and annual objectives for the Supplier Quality organization, which align to Baxter’s Quality strategy. The role drives successful execution to achieve key performance targets and partners with Global Segments, functions, and regions to develop and maintain compliant and efficient supplier quality processes.

What you'll be doing

To succeed in this role, the candidate should have Supplier QA management or QA plant leading experience in drug and/or medical device companies.

1. Serve as Element Owner for Supplier Quality processes.

• Set and develop global strategies and annual objectives for the Supplier Quality organization whichalign to the Quality and Baxter strategy.

• Achieve key performance targets by supporting plant performance and product quality improvement projects.

• Partner with business teams on inspection readiness and implement to ensure no enforcement actions.

• Ensure adequate controls and support timely and effective closure of any audit findings.

• Periodically review the suitability and efficiency of the quality system with executive management.

• Ensure collaboration and robust communication with partners.

• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across the organization.

2. Partner with Global Segments / functions/ regions to develop and maintain compliant and efficient global supplier quality processes.

• Serve as subject matter expert related to supplier quality, facilitate awareness of global regulatory requirements throughout the organization, and lead adoption of standard processes.

• Analyze the value proposition of the current supplier quality quality system, practices, and procedures and improve where needed.

3. Lead and complete supplier quality activities and quality system improvements with focus on lean,process simplification, and standardization.

• Manage department budget and resources.

• Collaborate with Business Quality leaders and General Management to resolve compliance issues, inspire change and ensure that proper guidance and support is provided.

• Collaborate with Baxter’s integration teams to develop and implement scalable and efficient processes for on-boarding new acquisitions.

• Benchmark similar product companies for supplier quality standard processes and drive Baxter adoption.

What you'll bring

• Strong leadership skills and demonstrated success in managing a large, diverse and global team.

• BS in science or engineering; advance degree.

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Quality, Manufacturing or related field in the medical products industry

• In depth knowledge of the regulatory environment for supplier quality of medical products – drugs, devices and software.

• 7 years’ management experience.

• Additional Clinical experience preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Success working with multifunctional business partners and Executive Management.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills are required
