The Product Owner (PO) is responsible for defining and supporting the building of valuable, feasible, viable, and usable products that meet customer needs over lifecycle of the product and defining the product roadmap for the assigned products. The PO works directly with customers and Product Managers (PMs) to understand and communicate their needs. The PO will also closely with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs), other IT stakeholders and SMEs from different areas to define how technology can enable business processes, drive business value and KPI improvement.

What will you be doing?

  • Setting plans and goals for their product and for their teams, constantly communicating and building consensus to meet the established outcomes, with PMs and BRMs.

  • Planning how the product will be implemented to maximize the value of the product.

  • Being accountable and sometimes responsible for prototypes, flow diagrams, use case documents, story maps, and mockups to help visualize and describe the feature of the product

  • Identifying potential technology options and complete IT cost assessments with support for IT architecture resources as needed.

  • Defining features and continuously force prioritization with the PM to identify the right initiatives to focus on and add to the product roadmap to ensure there is a constant flow of value creation.

  • Accountable for the delivery of features as prioritized by the PM with constant advisement on value versus effort and fit to the roadmap.

  • Playing a lead role in process governance with the goal to harmonize processes and the underlying system solution whenever possible.

  • Working with the technical architects and engineers to define technical solutions and enablers in line with functional and non-functional requirements and the process flows defined.

  • Integrating upcoming enabler work such as architecture, data privacy, security, regulatory and compliance into the backlog with the PM.

  • Leveraging survey results, interviews with users and data/analytics and insights to continuously improve and scale their products and employ product strategies.

  • Being a constant change champion for new ways of working.

  • Reporting progress and status in terms of business and customer outcomes.

  • Supporting internal change management teams and external marketing teams to drive adoption and deliver products to market.

We are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree with greater than 5 years of experience in digital/technical product ownership.

  • Prior experience with commercial products such as customer relationship management, marketing, quoting/contracting and pricing.

  • Professional with proficiency to convey and collaborate around the development of the desired functionality particularly with cloud applications.

  • Person with a prior experience or ability to learn technical development architecture and configuration principles and trong understanding and working experience with Agile approach. Understanding the SAFe (Agile at scale) approach is a plus.

  • Professional with design thinking awareness, proven analytical and problem resolution skills, solid digital/technical skills foundation and strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Experience in working in regulated environments (i.e. privacy/compliance).

  • Customer-centric and empathetic with excellent written and oral communication skills.
