The Master Data Expert (Integrated Supply Chain) supports the implementation of strategies to optimize our master data management systems, ensure data accuracy, and provide high-quality data to support business operation. He/she establishes and monitors key performance metrics and goals regarding master data and benchmarks results to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

The job holder should be experienced in building relationships across internal teams as well as peer functions and be able to facilitate and drive results in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports development, implementation and maintenance of master data policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy and consistency across the organization.
  • Identifies opportunities for process optimization and redesign through master data controls. Oversees the management and flow of data throughout its life cycle for critical ISC programs with end-to-end financial oversight and product flow.
  • Works with business process and systems experts and other stakeholders to understand data needs and to develop data standards to meet those needs.
  • Supports the design and implementation of master data management systems and processes including master data governance, ownership, and stewardship.
  • Develops data quality rules in order to quantify cost, business impact and potential risk of poor data quality. Identify and resolve data quality issues.
  •  Implement Master data quality scorecard with rules and parameters identifying thresholds and data cleansing action plans. Monitors and analyzes data quality metrics to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions. Priorities data quality initiatives that drive business outcome and results including cost of poor data quality
  • Partners with IT, process, systems and analytics teams to implement and maintain master data management systems and process. Act as a subject matter expert and serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams on system integrations and implementations.
  • Ensures master data processes are documented and reviewed for process improvement opportunities. Partner with cross functional teams to formalize data, product / material, process & financial workflows.
  • Works closely with other departments to ensure master data is integrated effectively into various business systems and applications. Oversees the management and flow of data throughout its lifecycle.
  • Collaborates closely across Integrated Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance and other functional stakeholders to provide relevant insights and best practices sharing across different segments.  Contributes amongst a team of Master data experts, with focus on Demand, Supply, Deliver and Inventory processes.
  • Develops and delivers training programs to ensure employees understand the importance of data management and how to effectively use master data.
  • Stays up to date on Master data technologies and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree Information Management, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, Finance or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience with data governance frameworks and tools. Expertise in End-to-End Supply chain is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data cleansing, and data quality techniques
  • Experience with MDM tools and technologies, ERP/Financial systems (JDE, SAP, Cognos), and tools, knowledge of Kinaxis/Rapid Response or similar advances planning tools is a plus.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
