Our Baxter Pharma team is growing and we are looking for a dedicated IT Manufacturing and Compounding Relationship Manager to join our team within a global role. As the IT Manufacturing and Compounding Relationship Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring the operating technology needs of the assigned manufacturing and compounding facilities are being heard, prioritised and delivered to meet business outcomes across pharma globally. Currently the compounding sites utilize minimal automation and are supported by a Business Relationship Manager (BRM). This role will complement the skills of the BRM by bringing technical experience integrating various automation components into IT systems and enable the compounding business to expand it’s use of automation technologies. The role will be a home based however you will be required to be present onsite once a week as well as international travel to our other compounding facilities on a regular pre booked basis (estimated 20% international travel). You will cover 18 compounding sites located in the UK, Ireland, Italy, France, Canada, Australia, New Zeeland as well as a site in Bielefeld, Germany.
You will be a key member of our IT organization partnering closely with compounding leaders, plant directors and Global IT teams therefore it is essential you have a proven record of building relationships and communicating with multiple stakeholders across a business. You will drive improved value for customers and efficiency playing a leading role in helping to digitally transform Baxter’s compounding and manufacturing functions. The ideal candidate would have experience working in a highly regulated environment such as pharmaceutical/manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand the global and regional strategy and business objectives and participate in translating that into the technical strategy for the compounding and manufacturing sites.
- Understand key financial drivers and strategic goals for the assigned location in the Segment and research/propose technical solutions to support business goals and drive margin improvement
- Create, share and drive adoption of the “art of the possible” in how technology can be applied in different ways to help the financial position and strategic objectives of the assigned operations and locations.
- Ensure resources and projects are aligned to these business objectives.
- While partnering with the compounding business the relationship manager will, develop and drive a compounding technology strategy and technology roadmap with alignment to the business plan, lifecycle management and IT capabilities, constantly pursuing efficiency improvement and standardization whenever differentiation isn’t required.
- For the Bielefeld location, develop and drive a manufacturing technology strategy and technology roadmap with alignment to the business plan, lifecycle management and IT capabilities, constantly pursuing standardization whenever differentiation isn’t required.
- Develop relationships with the compounding and manufacturing leadership within the regions and at each of the assigned locations. Become their partner to explore various technologies and adapt them to the business needs.
- Collaborate with executives and other leaders to define the long-term IT and application roadmap.
- Partner closely with the business leaders and IT leadership in setting priorities, placing realistic expectations on scope delivery and project.
- Act as an SME and teacher to other members of the compounding /manufacturing teams and IT in support of continuous improvement, customer focus and innovation.
- Responsibility for IT budget and accuracy of the forecast. Ensure it complies with stated goals, guidelines, and objectives.
- Develop and manage relationships with internal and external resources, suppliers and departments to ensure cohesive and collaborative communication.
- Ensure the implementation of IT Corporate/Local policies and procedures to ensure a secure and validated/qualified environment. Make sure about the IT compliance in regards all regulatory and notified bodies.
Qualifications / Skills required
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Business Process Management or related discipline or equivalent number of years of work experience.
- Proven experience of technical knowledge and IT business partnering experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Ideal Experience working withing in a GMP environment particularly in the Cell Therapy, BioTech, or Pharma industries strongly preferred.
- Excellent English language skills In both reading and writing
- Bilingual would be an advantage
- Possess good communication skills to promote cross functional discussions and be able to explain potentially complex solutions to the customer.
- Experience working on cross functional teams to obtain project deliverables
- Experience with systems investigation and root cause analysis tools
What will the recruitment process look like?

If shortlisted you will have a 1st stage interview with local IT Managers and a 2nd stage with the Manufacturing Engagement Leader who this role will be reporting to whilst visiting a UK site.
