Position Summary:

The purpose of the Nurse is to provide point-of-service support with key healthcare providers, clinics and hospitals within a specified geography in order to enhance disease knowledge, provide best practices in renal therapy, coordinate and provide training, enhance compliance, and provide product education. This position requires strong communication and coordination with other stakeholders including caregivers, physicians, access support programs, and other external foundations and support partners. Position reports to Clinical Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities.  This section contains a list of five to eight primary responsibilities of the work.  The incumbent will perform other duties as assigned.

• Completes all designated internal product, therapy and other company training as required.
• Support the education/training requirements of Health Care Professionals. Plans, prepares, implements and evaluates training sessions in both formal and informal modes to promote competence and confidence in the use of Baxter products.
• In the instance patient interaction is required:

  Completes in the Hospital setting or, where there is a need to visit a patient home, ensures they are accompanied by an appropriate Hospital staff member, or as otherwise approved by the Business Unit Director.

  Ensures that at no time they are involved in the prescribing or medical management of patients. Support and training is only in relation to the technical use of Baxter products, equipment or services.

• Provides first line phone and/or on site clinical / technical support / troubleshooting for equipment and products on an ad hoc basis to promote competence and confidence in the use of Baxter products and equipment. Seeks support from the relevant member of the Business on an as required basis to facilitate timely and accurate resolution to customer perceived issues.
• Plan, prepare, promote, attend and deliver workshops, seminars and conferences as required. At all times only using pre-approved training, marketing and sales materials.
• Ensure that all training is documented as per Baxter policy and procedure.
• Support and perform quality home visits for renal patients

  Send home visit assessment to Health Care Professionals

  Follow up with Healthcare Professionals if required

• Adherence to Baxter adverse events reporting and product complaints requirements.
• Coordinate and follow up on inquiries and request from sales organization

Qualifications.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  List knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

• Registered nurse and preferable in renal field
• At least 3 year related working experience is preferred
• Experience with calling on Health Care Professionals

Education and/or Experience.  Include the education and/or experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily

• Good presentation and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English, good command in Mandarin is a plus advantage
• Possess problem solving, building team spirit and business ethics
