Summary:

Senior Finance Analyst is part of the MTV cluster finance team, reporting to the Cluster Head of Finance. Key responsibilities will be related to Malaysia, however, they may expand to other parts of the cluster  to join force in driving initiatives in MTV. The person will be responsible as finance business partnering work in close collaboration with key stakeholder to expand, grow and sustain business with focus on profitability, collaborate closely with key stakeholders both local and cluster levels in order to gain business insight and able to connect the dot how it translates to financial performance and play vital in continuous process improvement and simplification.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and manage monthly financial performance and planning processes (long range plan, forecasts, annual plan-AOP)
  • Manage local FP&A operation by working collaboratively with CoE and BBS to ensure monthly result, forecast and annual plan complete on timely and with quality submission as per APAC/Global timeline.
  • Partner closely with country key stakeholders and ensure on-time communication on financial outlook, risks and opportunities between country and cluster. Review and evaluating accuracy of information and assumptions by applying key business knowledge.
  • Support Cluster finance on preparation and submission of cluster budget and planning cycle deliverables.
  • Provide comprehensive analytical support and financial leadership (incl. ad-hoc requests from key business partners) in driving business results e.g. profitability analysis – pricing strategy and margin expansion, spending analysis and other relevant aspects of financial management
  •  From time to time review key business processes and practices and drive standardization and simplification as may deem appropriate.
  • Participate in and/ or lead cluster/ Regional / global projects as needed.

  • Create simple and common processes to drive operational excellence

Qualifications/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, qualified CPA or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience,
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be forward thinking and a leader of change in an environment that is constantly seeking opportunities to improve upon existing processes, create efficiencies and deliver results to business partners
