The Role

We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a dynamic Market Planner to join our Renal business responsible for handling inventory at country level. In this role you will be working across MPs monitoring, mitigating supply exceptions while leading and driving communications between the commercial team, customer support, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Network Planners, and fulfillment teams on gaps between inventory and customer demand especially within import markets.

Reporting to the ANZ Market Planning Manager, this role encompasses a high level of risk management and order management accountabilities, with a view to mitigating short and medium-term supply and inventory issues and determining strategy for effective communication with the commercial team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own the inventory plan and execution for the market

  • Drive for inventory optimization opportunity analysis and deployment 

  • Analyze and report inventory variances

  • Own the communication strategy to the commercial team for supply issues

  • Lead commercial meetings to review pipelines and manage country fulfillment

  • Communicate any required parameter changes for cluster/country (e.g. lead time (F), safety stock (MP), freq. (F).

  • Communicate with NP’s and commercial and other collaborators to make any mid-cycle MPS adjustments, DRP parameters and proactively resolve supply issues

  • Understand, resolve, communicate, and call out low cover products

  • Manage back-order risks with Supply Planner and communicate to commercial teams

  • Lead the strategic stock build planning for the market driven by import license registration, M&A, supply issue, etc.

  • Generate different scenarios influencing multiple customers to ensure informed decisions.  

  • Develop and own the inventory plan and execution for the market. 

  • Order management including monitoring inbound POs, and work with Supply Planner, global logistics and transportation, shipping site, global carriers and foreign trade to find resolution to short term supply issues

  • Monitor customer limits and rebalance product allocation, when needed in agreement with marketing partners

  • Provide country or market-level feedback to Network Planner and Supply (Network) Manager

  • Manage new product launches and product phase outs within the market

  • Update of JDE sourcing to direct DP forecast to the correct BP (site) subject to geographies and local processes/ownership 

  • Build and maintain reports for commercial team including transfer orders and customer-specific reports. Provide information on any system/planning parameter changes for their cluster.

  • Confirm transfer orders for products imported to their country/cluster

  • Make decisions and approve all Supply issue resolutions for imported products

  • Complete monthly reserve proposal, identify and communicate opportunities for discard avoidance.

Key Requirements of the role include:

  • Tertiary degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or related fields

  • 5 -7 years related experience in supply chain management - warehousing, distribution, logistics, transportation, customer service or and inventory planning is required

  • Detailed working knowledge of effective Supply Chain performance, including Operations management is highly desirable

  • Significant experience of prioritization and ability to adapt to change

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Extensive knowledgeable of import/export regulations

  • Proficient in RapidResponse or other relevant planning systems

  • Proven stakeholder management skills (including influencing, communication negotiating and conflict management)

  • Experience in a geographically diverse, matrix organization is desirable

  • Basic Project management skill and lean/continuous improvement

  • Customer-focused and a service attitude.
