Business Development Manager, Home Dialysis

The Role

An exciting newly created role has arisen for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our Renal business. In this role you will be responsible for driving the growth of home dialysis in Australia, promoting the clinical and economic benefits (for patients, HCPs, hospitals, tertiary institutions, and government bodies) of home dialysis.

Reporting to the ANZ Sales Manager, you will build new opportunities to influence by developing, growing, and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with strategic accounts and stakeholders. Working with a highly collaborative team, you will mobilise people and resources to influence external stakeholders, driving increases in home therapy prescription.

If you are an experienced pharmaceutical or devices business development professional, we’d like to hear from you! While we prefer the candidate to be based in NSW, we will consider applicants based in VIC or QLD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve critical growth metrics in the number of patients prescribed home dialysis

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth of home dialysis

  • Map key accounts, plan and implement engagement activities, and cultivate positive relationships with key opinion leaders, prescribing nephrologists, and hospital executive collaborators.

  • Collaborate internally to analyse data and construct compelling economic arguments supporting patient treatment pathways, hospital protocols and macro objectives

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to make informed decisions

  • Collaborate cross functionally for client benefit and growth opportunities

  • Extract customer insights, and share for targeted action

Key Requirements of the role include:

  • Tertiary degree in Medical Science, Healthcare, Business, Management or related fields

  • Highly developed communication skills, efficiency and relationship-building abilities

  • Personal attributes of tenacity, initiative, drive and collaboration

  • 5 years or more experience working in a commercialbusiness development/sales/account management role or within the Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical industry is desirable

  • Knowledge and application of effective selling skills, including value added selling techniques and account management

  • Proven understanding or the hospital and healthcare system

  • Willingness to travel interstate as required
