Summary

Covering this role, you’ll provide EHS oversight, leadership and guidance to a portfolio of distributed non manufacturing locations (offices, R&D) as well as 600+ remote personnel/ field-based employees across EMEA (commercial and technical services).

You’ll be responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of all applicable EHS support programs and policies to deliver on EHS goals. In addition to this, you will ensure that requirements and procedures are in place at the facilities within the region in compliance with all environmental and safety regulations and corporate requirements 

You will collaborate with multi-functional teams within the organization to address and provide solutions for EHS&S opportunities across locations within the EMEA cluster.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop, implement, manage, and/or ensure compliance for Environmental, Safety, and industrial hygiene compliance programs, evaluating and acting upon new environment & safety regulations.
  • In collaboration with Senior site Leadership Teams, develop meaningful goals and objectives for site based EHS teams.  Assists in developing and implementing global, regional, and local policies and programs concerning environmental and safety issues.
  • Primary contact for regulatory agency inspections, assist with communication, information gathering, evaluating, and responding to events or conditions
  • Assist with EHS audits at the Corporate and Regional levels.
  • Assist in the completion of annual EHS reporting requirements, develop regional EHS reports as needed.  Assist in the validation of the data from the facilities, support accident investigation and reporting.
  • Collaborates with other EHS professionals and management to provide oversight and quality assurance to the root cause analysis process and to ensure corrective and preventive actions are appropriate and effective
  • Assist facilities with EHS training and develop training programs where applicable.
  • Provide information and direction to management on potential threats to the business that may result in legal action against our organization or officers.
  • Supports the occupational health program at multiple locations to assure that these programs are aligned to meet corporate requirements and address the employee health risks at the site. 

What you’ll bring

  • A degree in Environmental/Safety Engineering, Occupational Health or Scientific field is required;
  • 10+ years of experience in EHS
  • RSPP qualification
  • Occupational Health Experience is a plus
  • Leadership and influencing skills are required to collaborate effectively with location managers and manage EHS teams across the cluster. 
  • Communication and collaboration skills as well as the ability to work effectively with people at all levels organization including stakeholders outside the organization
  • Fluent English knowledge (written and spoken)
