Your role at Baxter

You will be responsible for managing the calculation, reporting, and process improvement efforts of capital, completing key month-end tasks, and participating in the annual S-Ox Audit. You will also play a critical role in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the company's capital investment strategies, ensuring efficient allocation of financial resources, and driving profitability. You will collaborate with various departments, analyze financial data, and make informed recommendations to support strategic decision-making and long-term growth.
This position will be on-site in Marion, North Carolina.
What you'll be doing
- Support the Engineering Capital function with forecasts, budgets, analysis of monthly results, and BaxCap submissions.
- Prepare Capital month-end close journal entries.
- Facilitate Monthly Open Capital Project updates with Project Leads.
- Perform special projects and other ad hoc duties and provides recommendations.
- Responsible for BaxFast Submissions for all updates for Fixed Assets.
- Maintain Local and MPT Capital Master Files.
- Facilitate Annual Fixed Asset Counts.
- Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.
- Learn, understand, and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
What you'll bring
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities
- Self-starter with strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong technical and financial knowledge, including understanding of internal control requirements and accounting principles as well as understanding of relevant business environment.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial concepts, including ROI, payback period, discounted cash flow analysis, and financial modeling. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4 + years of experience with financial planning and reporting.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
