We are seeking an EMEA Sr. Trade and Customs Analyst.

You will be responsible for supporting cross-border Trade and Customs operations and compliance with EMEA Region import and export regulations across all Baxter entities. You will coordinate activities such as import/export facilitation, export document legalization, issuance of certificates of origin, confirming preferential and non-preferential origin, securing long-term supplier declarations, and support of special trade programs such as IPR, AEO, EA, and REX.

You will develop tariff classifications, maintains records, participates in strategic cost-saving initiatives, and collaborates with the EMEA Sr. Trade and Customs Analysts and Regional Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities.  This section contains a list of primary responsibilities of the work.  The incumbent will perform other duties as assigned.

• Review and audit import/export declarations for accuracy.

• Interact with service providers, regulators, and internal functions to facilitate timely import and export declarations.

• Update internal procedures to align with business practices and regulations.

• Analyze products and determine harmonized tariff schedule numbers and export control classifications and licensing requirements.

• Apply for binding tariff rulings

• Respond to compliance concerns and critical service issues.

• Review letters of credit and transactions for boycott language

• Support cost-saving initiatives like inward processing relief (IPR), free trade agreements (FTA), and duty drawback opportunities.

• Recommend improvements to import/export procedures and trade management systems.

• Handle IPR obligations, recordkeeping, systems, and reporting requirements.

• Research, interpret, and apply international trade regulations.

• Proactively handle third-party relationships and participate in business reviews.

• Provide analytical support and reporting for supply chain and trade compliance.

• Drive standardization of import/export processes and internal control procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

A Self-starter with strong organizational skills. Knowledge of multinational import/export operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, BTI/CROSS searches, and Customs Info. Experience with supply chain logistics, warehousing, distribution, and inventory management.
