At Baxter, we are building an outstanding Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization. We are implementing a ground-breaking program which will streamline processes, enhance systems, improve forecasting accuracy, strengthen business partnerships and improve opportunities for personal skill-building and professional growth.
Your role at Baxter
The purpose of the role is to manage and transform the effectiveness and efficiency of the operations in Inventory and Manufacturing Department focused on Americas’ inventory transactions by identifying and facilitating operational changes and process improvement initiatives in alignment with local, regional, and global initiatives and metrics. This position must drive operational excellence, efficiency and standardization. In addition, this role must work jointly with service delivery partner to supervise and execute agreed service level agreements through established metrics while identifying process improvement opportunities. This role reports to the Sr. Manager for the Americas Regions. This role will work with the Regional Process Owner for Americas when required.
What you'll be doing
Develop and implement performance driven indicator.
Ensure compliance by supervising at all levels of the operation.
Lead Inventory Accounting team on month-end close activities.
Review and approve Inventory related reconciliations in Blackline as needed.
Support, drive, and maintain improvement opportunities across the team with a focus on continuous improvement.
Build and maintain tight-knit teamworks with finance and non-finance teams, as well as external providers, to maintain and update shared processes, tools, and reporting activities.
Ensure compliance and adherence of processes to company's policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements and local rules and regulations; support strengthening of financial processes and controls.
Build and lead hard-working teams with focus on engagement and talent development.
Support projects, as the need arises; provide financial expertise in such projects.
What you'll bring
- 6+ years of meaningful professional experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or part qualified ACCA/CIMA/CPA
- Background in Manufacturing and Inventory accounting
- Strong leadership skills
- Shown experience in a multinational environment and/or audit
- Good knowledge of US GAAP
- Proficient in both written and spoken English C1
- Strong reporting tools including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience in JDE, Blackline, Alteryx and W-Desk is an advantage
- Yellow or Black Belt is a plus
- Additional hours at critical times (e.g., month-end) may be required. Also, and on an outstanding basis, the role may require work on public holidays
