Your Role at Baxter

As a Network Optimization Manager for our Integrated Supply Chain (ISC), you have tons of ideas for linear optimization. You will support the development and use of advanced analytical tools to drive decision making across the end-to-end supply chain, you will own Baxter ISC network modeling and reports to Sr. Director Network Optimization. You will have the opportunity to conduct reviews with Leadership teams and coordinates across multiple functions and stakeholders to capture and update key inputs to existing supply chain models, also the role trains end users to independently implement basic models and provide project specific support on solving more complex optimization models.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Contribute to and lead large and sophisticated projects to develop tools and organization capabilities to support a data-driven supply chain. Resolve general problems with minimal mentorship. Act as domain expert and train others to use core analytical tools. Conduct end user training for Operations Strategy team to enable them to run simple network optimizations and visualize output in Tableau.
  • Build and validate network models, optimize scenarios, and analyze outputs to answer complex supply chain questions, propose, design, and develop new workflows and decision optimization models, to expand Baxter’s analytical capabilities.
  • Direct a team of internal and external resources to support model development and implementation, provide project-specific support for solving more complex optimization model and build and update data visualizations to support dynamic evaluation and analysis of supply chain optimization outputs
  • Coordinate across multiple functions and customers to design and develop automated data pipelines to provide accurate, timely, validated input data for network optimization and balance multiple projects and demonstrate effectiveness in task completion, decision making, empowerment of others, and problem solving
  • Design, develop and test new Alteryx workflows and optimization models which expand functionality of Baxter’s analytical capabilities and build and update Tableau visualizations to support visualization and analysis of supply chain optimization outputs

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, or data science, with strong data science background, specifically in linear optimization, data analysis, and data visualization, as well as solid experience in or knowledge of supply chain planning and design in Healthcare or other regulated industry in a manufacturing setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, operations research, data science, or supply chain management. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Visa up to date and flexibility to travel abroad frequently.
  • English C1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to read, write and speak English proficiently
  • Experience with LLamasoft Supply Chain Guru, Alteryx and Tableau tools preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams to help drive results
  • Knowledge of the principles of optimization and how optimization is performed using software packages
  • Competency to organize and present technical information and project plans
  • Competency to work effectively on cross-functional teams with indirect leadership
  • Capable of working independently and applying good problem-solving techniques to accomplish discrete tasks.
