Your Role at Baxter

The Manufacturing Technician III is responsible for executing all processes in production while strictly adhering to cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines and any other related regulations which could apply. Manufacturing Technician III is expected to fully participate in both departmental projects and any quality working teams which may be applicable. Under the general direction of the lead technician and the overall direction of the supervisor, this position shall be responsible for the hands-on execution of all activities in the production area. In addition to making routine revisions to documents, Manufacturing Technician III may rewrite complex procedures or initiate new procedures as applicable. The incumbent has enough applied technical knowledge to perform complex trouble shooting tasks and may even assist during the transfer of new technologies into manufacturing. Manufacturing Technician III has sufficient technical and administrative competence to organize and lead production activities, including demonstrating leadership in state-of-the-art cGMP compliance, and environmental health and safety skills.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supports all local manufacturing operations.

  • Able to lead a process within the manufacturing area including reporting daily output and maintaining hourly boards.

  • Set up and operate general production equipment.

  • Perform complex equipment troubleshooting and respond to process alarms as necessary.

  • Review and complete all relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines.

  • Perform cleaning of equipment, small parts, and production area.

  • Support initiation and participate on Continuous Improvement Teams.

  • Receive and distribute supplies into the production area as necessary.

  • Write, revise and review pertinent documentation as appropriate.

  • Lead stretching exercises.

  • Prepare and package product for shipment, where applicable.

  • Train new employees on procedures for which Manufacturing Technician III is qualified to perform.

  • Support other functional groups to ensure preventative maintenance is scheduled and completed.

  • Print out applicable process documentation.

  • Create, Issue materials, and complete GME work orders.

  • Create and complete Maximo work orders.

  • Perform cycle count and support variance investigations.

  • Support documents reconciliation as required.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.

\What You'll Bring

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of 3-5 years of manufacturing related experience or

  • AA degree with 2-3 years of mfg related experience required or

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 months of manufacturing related experience.

  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and understanding of cGMP regulations.

  • Incumbent must be proficient in a variety of mathematical disciplines and be able to work with both the metric and USA standards of measurement.

  • Must be able to read and follow detailed written instructions.

  • Good interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.

  • This position requires shift, weekend and holiday work. Overtime may be required at times.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office/Word/Excel applications.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Medical Device equipment.

  • Knowledge of chemical and biological safety procedures per applicable guidelines.
