You Role:

Provide day-to-day and strategic guidance to outsourced Payroll processor, internal team, and stakeholders. By overseeing end-to-end payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely payments to employees through vendor management of Alights teams including: Payroll Services, Customer Service, Tax Filing, Garnishment, and Overpayment Shared Services.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Responsible for weekly and biweekly payrolls for approximately 20,000 salaried and hourly employees spread across the US and Puerto Rico.
  • Monitor and escalate all systems related errors that would jeopardize delivery of accurate payroll data through HRCentral call center and ticketing system.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from senior executives and cross-functional business leaders.
  • Implement changes to tools and documentation as needed to support effective service delivery in cooperation with business partners such as Compensation, HCM, Finance, Global Mobility, Stockholder Shared Services, Recruiting, IT, Treasury and Benefit teams.
  • Advise on the requirements for new jurisdictions and/or new entities as needed.
  • Work with internal and external audit teams on quarterly and annual payroll & benefit audits.
  • Ensure operations are performed in compliance with company policies, country, state/province, and local laws and are aligned with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
  • Monitor team activity and coordinating workload in line with SLAs by organizing, prioritizing, and making effective workload allocation decisions.
  • Role model in the team by giving constructive feedback to colleagues to improve performance and supporting the Manager.
  • Contribute expertise to local and global projects while owning assigned deliverables including but not limited to: Year End, Acquisitions & Divestures, and upgrades & implementations.

What You need:

  • 5+ years of Payroll Operations experience.
  • Understanding of HR operating environments; exposure to applicable policies and procedures on a global basis, a plus
  • Solid skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated ERP: such as WorkDay – Payroll and UKG Workforce Central (formerly Kronos).
  • Strong background related to integrated: HRIS or SaaS, and other technical applications

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
