Title: Sr. Spec, IT – QMS

Location: Bangalore

Your role

  • Participate in TrackWise global systems and application development supporting the Quality business function
  • Experienced developer working with complex validated systems to design & implement global solutions based on business, technology, and regulatory need
  • Implement solutions to automate, simplify and optimize new & existing validated applications
  • Participate in the overall delivery of the technical solutions, including the creation of the supporting technical validation documentation 
  • Resolve and handle technical aspects of a project, priorities, timelines, and schedules

What you’ll be doing

  • Design, develop, drive, and deliver complex technology solutions and vision for projects that are aligned to Global IT technology strategies and standards:
  • Analyze requirements to recommend approaches for building and updating TrackWise workflows for large and medium projects and small scope changes
  • Utilize technologies, including WebServices & Java, to provide solutions extending the capabilities of TrackWise
  • Utilize TrackWise tools to create and update workflows to meet requirements
  • Develop and deliver on assigned technical aspects of projects
  • Collaborate with external development teams
  • Interact regularly with internal business partners to understand their business and develop needed IT solutions
  • Review project teams' work to ensure quality (design walk-through, code review, test results, etc.) and alignment to the processes, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Create and maintain technical system documentation
  • Partner w/the validation & business teams to develop & execute validation test cases, scripts and plans.
  • Provide high level of technical support, as needed, and perform root cause analysis for problems experienced within area of functional responsibility

What you’ll bring

  • Extensive experience developing applications using Java, JSP, Servlets, EJB, JDBC, Spring, Hibernate, JMS, Active MQ and XML, ANT, LOG4J, Web services.
  • Experience in different IDE's like MyEclipse, Eclipse, RAD, WSAD, Netbeans, and JDeveloper.
  • Advanced knowledge of Java modules and frameworks including web services, hibernate, and JMS
  • Knowledge in Application Design and Development using OOP, MVC and J2EE.
  • Software Development Life Cycle Requirements Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment and Support
  • Systems Analysis, Design, Development of various Client/Server and Internet

Applications, Debug, Investigation, Preparing root cause analysis

  • Developing and consuming Web Services using WSDL, SOAP, HTTP, and UDDI
  • XML Technologies XML, XSLT, XSD, Xml Schema and Worked on parsers like SAX and DOM
  • Sense of urgency and strong follow-up skills.
  • Must be able to function effectively as a member of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present to global teams
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and documentation skills

Experience with:

  • Creation of new REST web service operations and modifying existing web service's WADLs Web Application Description Language.
  • Junit for unit testing the web service operations' code
  • SOAP UI tool to test the REST web service operations
  • Log 4j and Slf 4J tools for logging
  • Quartz scheduler for running job and Build/deployment
  • HP ALM, JIRA for tracking testing defects and JIRA for task management.
  • Axis tool to consume the web services
  • SOAP testcases for different test scenarios and integration of the test suite to Jenkins
  • Databases such as Oracle , SQL Server, MySQL, RDBMS Design, PL/SQL, and written complex SQL queries and Stored Procedures.
  • Version control tools such as SVN, Bit Bucket, Git
  • XSL testing and XML BEANS for XML validations.
  • Developing the applications that access XML files using JAXB, JAXP APIs.
  • Application server  Apache Tomcat 6.x/7.x/8.x and have good knowledge of J2EE standard compatible application servers
  • Agile - daily Scrum methodology sprint for development process
  • Integrated the ORM Object Relational Mapping tool hibernate to the spring using Spring ORM in our app and used spring transaction API for database related transactions.
  • Efficient use of various design patterns such as MVC Model-View-Controller, Singleton, Service locator, DAO Data Access Object , DTO Data Transfer Object , and Business Delegate in the development of distributed Enterprise Applications.
  • Project management activities involving analyzing information system needs, evaluating end-user requirements, custom designing solutions, troubleshooting for complex information systems management.
  • Code review and peer review meetings for design documentation
  • Technical knowledge of TrackWise, including tools, techniques, and associated technologies - desirable
  • TrackWise web services API - desirable
  • Computer system validation experience - desirable
  • Crystal Reports development experience - desirable
  • Knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) business processes, including CAPA, Change Control, Complaint Management, or Supplier Quality - desirable

Include the education and experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or technology and meaningful work experience required
  • 5+ Years of experience in software development of integrated application solutions utilizing Webservices & Java technologies and frameworks for custom application development 
  • 5+ Years of experience in development of workflow solutions on TrackWise preferred (experience with TrackWise version 8 preferred)
  • AWS Cloud certification is preferred
  • Experience working in a regulated environment is a plus
