Associate Director Kidney Care R&D Digital Health

  • Leader of release planning and orchestrating the various agile workstreams and plan for an effective release for digital products, services in chronic, acute therapies every few quarters.
  • Manages Technical project managers/lead system integrators in digital organization and acts as Release Train leader coordinating all planning, dependencies in a collaborative climate among internal and external teams/ business units to achieve organizational goals in a matrixed environment.
  • Responsible for end-to-end Software project/program delivery, including project plan, schedule, execution/monitoring working with cross functional team globally.
  • Applies knowledge of product lifecycle management, agile development to effectively drive specific design phases with high quality and predictability of timeline and budget.
  • Demonstrates understanding of and adherence design control procedures, regulations and standards and ensures appropriate design controls are being adhered to during sustaining engineering efforts and new product development.
  • Takes accountability for resource staffing and project execution with proactive management of technical and project risk to ensure delivery of business commitments.
  • Effectively communicate and realize vision and strategy for the organization that aligns with the business and patient needs.
  • Ability to lead functional and technical managers/leaders in the group that ensures clear accountability and operational excellence.
  • Ensures that succession planning, and talent pipeline is in place for technical/functional leadership across multiple functions and/or technical disciplines.
  • Leverage partnerships effectively with cross functional teams including the business unit, quality, program management, manufacturing, regulatory, medical and clinical to achieve business results.
  • Foster an environment where mentoring, coaching, career growth and progression, and employee development are critical focus areas.
  • Create a culture and environment that attracts, develops, retains, and grows diverse and top talent aligned with organizational strategy.

Your Team:

Reporting to Sr Director, Kidney Care R&D, Digital Health, you will be managing team of Software Technical Project Managers, in charge of release planning, execution, and a team of data engineers, tableau experts

Your Location:

The role is located in the BRD facility in Bangalore India. 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline is required.  Must be able to interact on a technical level.
  • 15+ years’ experience in a software engineering role, preferably with experience in both embedded and digital software products. 
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing Software product development teams in a matrix global organization.
  • Medical device, diagnostics, laboratory testing product experience or similar products is preferred.  
  • Familiarity and experience with IEC62304 standard for software life cycle is highly preferred.
  • Strong proven experience with people management and building high performing teams.
  • Proven coaching and mentoring skills with ability to motivate, inspire and get the best out of team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate in a clear, positive and professional manner to all levels from customers and peers to Directors/VPs
  • · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • · Good organizational skills. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks
