Your role at Baxter:

As a Stockroom & MRO Supervisor, this is where you’ll be responsible for organizing and directing the warehousing, logistics and inventory control activities of MRO and indirect procurement processes. You’ll coordinate these activities to ensure efficient use of resources, equipment and optimizing flows to ensure efficient and accurate inventory and cost effectiveness.

The mission of the supply chain team is to ensure that manufacturing can count on the material to manufacture the products, we support them with purchasing, planning, receiving and shipping.

What you'll be doing:

  • Oversees the daily activities of stockroom and indirect procurement operations in different shifts of operation, including the performance, attendance, and assessments of merit of staff under their responsibility.
  • Supervise and ensure the correct storage and operational practices of the personnel who work in the MROs area, as well as complying with all security and safety provisions that apply in the area.
  • Coordinate the cycle counting process with the areas of finance and maintenance, facility and automation, ensuring the effectiveness and control of this process.
  • Ensure the purchasing process for MRO items from Maximo, going through the PRMS system to ensure availability of items in stock, evaluate the accuracy of master data and updating as needed.
  • Support all payments related to stockroom area, ensure payments are completed within the timelines established to avoid outstanding payments and minimize credit suspensions which could affect plant productivity.
  • Responsible for optimizing inventories, minimizing excess and obsolete through the periodic review of the data and seeking solutions with the departments of maintenance, facility, Manufacturing and Quality.

What you'll bring:

  • University Degree in Engineering or Management.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse/procurement area.
  • Knowledge of local country Customs and Free Zone Laws/regulations.
  • Excellent ability to supervise staff.
  • Computerized management systems (PRMS / AS400, POMS), Microsoft.
  • Bilingual.
