Your role at Baxter:
As a Principal Engineer, Laboratory you’ll coordinate functions for the Quality Services areas (Microbiology / Chemistry / Calibration / Supplier / Incoming Labs, Critical Systems) in order to assure compliance with specifications, procedures and applicable standards and regulations.

What you'll be doing:
- Supervise the Microbiology and Chemical areas to assure compliance with specifications.
- Initiates special projects and reports after evaluation for adherence and compliance with plant operations.
- Coordinates and evaluates new projects with pertinent plant personnel.
- Evaluates and approves Extraordinary Maintenance of critical systems.
- Evaluates and assures product's quality through quality indicators and keeps products release performance within standards.
- Other special projects as requested by Supervisor.
What you'll bring:
- B.S. in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related areas.
- (5) years minimum in Medical Device industry experience
- (3) years minimum on supervisor.
- Experience in Validation processes.
- Sterilization knowledge.
- Incumbent must be knowledgeable of specifications and procedures.
- Knowledge of validation processes, microbiology and chemistry concepts.
- Departmental performance. General Management responsibilities.
- GMP & OSHA compliance.
- Knowledge in sterilization standards (ex. ISO11135 and ISO 11137), ISO 13485 and CFR 820.
- Good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to travel occasionally. Self-motivated and self-starter.
- Good supervisory skills.
- Fully Bilingual (written and verbal English and Spanish).
